Our Hindu neighbors, along with Sikhs, Muslims, and the south Asian community throughout #TX07 and the U.S., have the right to worship and to do so without fear.
I am deeply concerned by @CongressmanRaja's story and stand with him in opposition to these hateful threats.

I just cast my ballot for James Talarico.
As a second-generation Indian American, I am thoroughly disgusted by the xenophobia, racial resentment, and increasingly brazen attacks on my identity. My family has contributed to the American story through hard work, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in the opportunities this nation promises. I am every bit as American as anyone else, and I will not tolerate being treated as a perpetual foreigner in the country I call home.
I implore every eligible Texan to get out and vote. This election is about the kind of state and country we are prepared to defend—and the principles we refuse to surrender.

Make yourselves heard, my Indian Texans. They've told you how they feel about you. Now is the time to return the favor. 🇮🇳

It is the responsibility of a political party to earn the support of its coalition, not the responsibility of voters to endlessly court a party that increasingly treats them with contempt. That is one of the most elementary principles of representative democracy.
I spent years involved in Republican politics. I stuck my neck out for this party, bent over backwards defending it, worked on campaigns, and stood by people even when doing so wasn’t particularly easy. I genuinely believed in what I was doing.
I wasn’t pretending to be a conservative, and I certainly wasn’t involved in Republican politics because I had nothing better to do with my time. I gave that movement a great deal of my energy because I believed there was a place for me in it.
And after all of that, I have to sit here and watch people like Bo French insinuate that I’m not an American because of where my family comes from?
If voting according to my conscience makes me a “libtard,” then so be it

Look at her record in viciously targeting India on human rights during her career.
She never condemned during her tenure as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2008–2014) and her subsequent international work Pakistan-sponsored terrorism against India.
Much worse, she did not explicitly condemn Pakistan by name for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks during her tenure as the UNHCR.
Her personal rhetoric on the attack was condemnable. Instead of pointing to external state sponsorship or naming Pakistan, she said this:
"Whenever there is an act of terrorism, one points fingers at neighbouring countries, thereby absolving oneself of all responsibility... Terrorists need not be from outside; they can be home grown. When you accuse others, you fail to take steps to correct the problem at home."
And here we have Indians wanting us to congratulate her!!
Richly deserved Nobel Peace prize - Bravo ma'm @NaviPillay1 - odd that Indian government has still not felicitated the courageous Justice - "Honouring Pillay is therefore not only about her biography; it is about upholding a principle."
scmp.com/opinion/world-opini… "I place Pillay firmly in the Socratic-Confucian lineage : might may prevail but that does not make it right, and even the strongest state is bound by law......the world needed to understand that the alternative is the situation Thrasymachus and Han described. It IS their ancestral product, and even South Asian muslims accept "hadiths" that only a qureshi can be caliph, so they feel some ownership.. Tho TBF the orthodox version is partly a persianate product.. I took a lot of heat when I argued that those of us born and raised in America need to consciously detach ourselves from India politically, but this is precisely what you get when you fail to make that separation explicit.
When the expectation is that Americans of Indian origin magically retain some sort of intimate connection with the old country despite being born in America, only speaking English, not knowing anything about the country outside of what they read in the American press, this is ultimately what you get. India ceases to be an actual place. Rather, it persists as a symbol in the diasporic imagination that can strategically exploited to burnish one's position within the progressive cultural and political fabric.
If Abby were truly "passionate about ending fascism" she would move to India, but she isn't and she won't. Her main concern-- reflected in the tweet below-- is to differentiate herself from the similarly deracinated South Asians who instead choose to act out their supposed cultural "authenticity" by railing against cultural appropriation or whatever.
This dynamic is downstream from the particular racial pathologies of progressive multiculturalism, which-- like the nativist right-- doesn't see people as individuals, but as representatives of their ethnic, religious, or caste identities.
putting me (passionate about ending fascism in my parents home country) in the same sentence as an influencer who bullied a young actress and Usha Vance (???) of all people is dizzy as fuck.
Also, Natasha is not Indian, she’s eelam Tamil. I’d rather be embarrassing for fighting for democracy than for not knowing the difference between India and Sri Lanka.

China announces export controls for tunnel boring machines (TBMs)
From Nov 18, exporting TBMs will require a licence. These are the machines fuelling India’s infrastructurebooming especially metros and highway tunnels.
Beijing is classifying them as “dual-use” items, which gives the move a security label, but in effect it is economic coercion.
This has happened before. In 2024, China began delaying customs clearances for TBM shipments to India, and in August 2025 it told India it had lifted the curbs on TBMs. With this licence rule, the delays become a formal mechanism that Beijing can tighten or loosen whenever relations change.
India’s dependence here is real, but it is narrower than it might look. TBM imports from China had already dropped sharply, from $18 million in 2022-23 to $3 million in 2023-24, and most self-propelled TBMs have come from outside China. The serious risk is deayed metro timelines and cost escalation if suppliers’ Chinese plants or components get stuck in licensing.
India’s response has to be to make these machines itself, and that work has started. The government is preparing a $1.2 billion incentive scheme to make tunnel boring machines, firefighting equipment and elevators in India. It is expected to bring in about $1.8 billion in investment over seven years.
BEML is preparing to manufacture TBMs locally, and L&T could also benefit. Building this capacity will take years, but each round of export controls from China makes the case for it stronger. asia.nikkei.com/economy/chin…

This is a starter BOM for Tunnel Boring Machines and High Altitude Spraying Machines
Obviously a small start. But you have to start somewhere.
Necessity is the mother of invention and all that.
Builders will figure out a fully localised BOM.
Build. Build more. There's no other path.
India might be the focus of China's new export controls on construction machinery.
India is not called out explicitly, but China is now prohibiting certain machinery to "sensitive countries and regions that have disputes with China" 与中国存在争议的敏感国家和地区.
These include:
- Tunnel-boring machines, which China has appeared to limit to India in the past
- High-altitude concrete spraying machines (above 3,000 m altitude), which might be about military construction in the Himalayas

Our babus serve Republic of Dinner Parties with way greater loyalty than they have for India - very tragic that we are stuck with such insipid people
Warm congratulations to Navi Pillay, the first woman of Indian origin to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Her extraordinary life story belongs to the many-storied, often heroic history of Indian migration: oceans traversed , hardships endured, discrimination confronted and new homelands served with honesty and distinction.
Her Indian inheritance and her South African experience meet in a life devoted to human dignity. Were Gandhiji alive, I believe he would have recognised something deeply familiar in that journey: the struggle against injustice in South Africa becoming a commitment to justice everywhere.
We may not have agreed with all her judgments or positions. That should not diminish our respect for her courage, independence and achievements. She is as much a daughter of India as she is of South Africa. Our national pride should be accommodating enough to embrace her independent conscience.

This guy who spoke today in Edmonton at the Khalistani event was once sentenced to life imprisonment for plotting to blow up an airplane leaving JFK Airport in New York ✈️💣
But because he's part of an "identifiable group" no one in establishment media or politics gives a shit.
Alberta Referendum: Khalistan Vote Held at the Legislature
Sikhs for Justice held a non-binding protest "referendum" on the Alberta Legislature grounds in Edmonton today to "liberate Punjab" from Indian "occupation," just a day before Albertans vote in a binding independence referendum.
Sikhs for Justice's Ottawa organizer, Santokh Singh Khela, appeared on stage at the legislature grounds wearing a purple turban, this time without the metal axe he usually carries. A self-admitted member of the Canadian Sikh terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa, Khela was once sentenced to life imprisonment for a bomb plot, hatched in Montreal, targeting an Air India flight departing from JFK Airport in New York.
Meanwhile, another Sikhs for Justice organizer who took the stage in Edmonton today, "Dr." Bakhshish Singh Sandhu, was found to have obtained his medical diploma from a fraudulent Dominican medical school that operated for only four years before U.S. authorities shut it down for massive diploma fraud.
"Kill Modi Politics" and "Long Live Khalistan" slogans echoed across the grounds, and a minute of silence was held for the Wainwright tragedy.

1/5 Sharjeel Imam has given an interview detailing his Islamist manifesto. Surprisingly, no storm has been kicked up over pronouncements that are so unapologetically anti-liberal, anti-secular, anti-democracy, anti-Constitution—in a word, anti-national.
2/5 He openly calls the Constitution fascist, labels secularism a trap, and denounces democracy as a contrivance to deny Muslims their political rights.
3/5 The piece is a litany of indictments against the liberal class. Imam rejects any difference between liberals and Hindutvadis. In his essentialist worldview, all Hindus are the same, unanimous in denying Muslims political power they claim as a divine right.
4/5 Inadvertently, Sharjeel has recognised something that liberals have been fighting shy of acknowledging: that Hindutva’s idea of India is anchored in the same “overarching nationalist framework”— that Muslims are Indians above all else.
5/5 For more, read this Opinion article by Ibn Khaldun Bharati, who looks at Islam from an Indian perspective:
Sharjeel Imam’s Islamist manifesto will be forgotten. The silence of liberals will not
