I finally took the time to distill my key research projects on my website with diagrams and artifact links. I'm really proud to have led and worked on so many exciting and challenging projects across the firmware, systems, and mobile security spaces.

I'm actually really enjoying expanding my RSS feed once again. I somewhat blame Google Reader dying as part of the reason why I stopped. With discovery more difficult after twitter blew up, any security, graphics, techno-wizardry blogs I should definitely have on my feed?
Serum 1 VST running natively on my Android device with a custom plugin-host and bare-bones sequencer.
My app can run macOS Apple Silicon (ARM64) macho binaries using a compatibility layer 🤯 I chose this cursed configuration specifically because real-time audio needs SIMD and for ARM that means NEON. Why not the Linux plugin? Those are only x86 meaning emulation = slow (or binary translation = hard). Also, many plugins never have Linux releases (just Windows and Mac)!
I am porting Serum VST to Android just for fun. Progress is being made...but as you can see plenty of graphical glitches to work out still. Sound and MIDI input was the easy part! This is running under QEMU at the moment before wrapping in an Android app.
Alright, returning my the first plugin I got working, Vital VST. It's kinda working, but had a similar issue to Serum initially: no waveforms are being displayed.

Just hacked some AI wizardry to tame my paper collection. Check it out: aischolar.0x434b.dev (based on github.com/0xricksanchez/pap…). Ideas welcome!
This is incredible!

The most challenging part of writing "The Secret Life of Circuits" wasn't the writing process. It was crafting over 290 full-color illustrations on my own design.
