And that’s a wrap @AusCryptoCon ! What an incredible extended-blockchain-wknd we spent in Melbourne. It was refreshing to see just how many passionate people and teams are working, building or just learning about blockchain and web3 technologies, particularly after a long bear market. We are now back to work at our Brisbane HQ, all hands on deck, but we’d like to thank everyone involved in hosting a mirage of incredible events that allowed us to put faces to names and to meet in person with teams and start-ups building the next generation of Australian web3 companies. 🏆 Blockies Awards: thanks to @BlockchainAUS for organising such a neat Ballroom Ceremony. Congratulations to the winners of every category and it was an honour being nominated alongside industry giants such as @Chainalysis and @ZeroCap. 🍸 Side Events: big props to @GregOakford and @0xUpside for throwing an incredible party on Friday filled with heaps of web3 natives. UpsideDAO put together a sick co-working space that no doubt has already become the web3 hub of Melbourne and dare we say, of Australia. Check them out! We also had an engaging, fun and amazing time at The Future of Money event at the @Oshi_Gallery hosted by the @AlgoFoundation, @stables_money, and @krakenfx. Beautiful people, venue and vibes! 🇦🇺 @AusCryptoCon: the main dish of the weekend was the second edition of the ACC which was an absolute success! It was great to share the weekend with so many Australian and offshore businesses and an impressive turnout of attendees. Thanks to the organisers and looking forward to Sydney 2024. During the ACC, we hosted the NFT Treasure Hunt which turned out to be a massive hit. We at Labrys believe that in order for web3 to achieve mainstream adoption, we need to get people comfortable using wallets, running transactions and realising the power of self-custody and asset ownership as enablers of real world use cases we can’t even think of yet! We want to thank our partners and clients of @Hashlock, @Take3, @Coinjar, @MezFi, @localpegs and @CSENS who helped us hide the clues and we hope we helped share the love at your own booths! On Sunday, our CEO, Lachlan Feeney hosted Demystifying Web3 Development: A Crash Course for Entrepreneurs, where he talked about tools and strategies necessary to navigate the web3 world, empowering you to create web3 products that stand out in this rapidly evolving landscape. We received great feedback and questions so we will issue a separate blog post on it and share with you all soon. Last but not least, thank you @1inch for throwing the last party of the weekend on Sunday. Networking tends to flourish when people are relaxed having a couple of drinks after a full-on weekend.
