vibe coding is okay, but have you thought about vibe bug fixing and vibe security?

Things I rarely use:
๐ซ Currying
๐ซ Middleware
๐ซ Inheritance
๐ซ Polymorphism
๐ซ IoC containers
๐ซ The actor model
๐ซ Aspect-oriented programming
๐ซ Complex design patterns
My typical approach:
โ
Write small functions
โ
Try to keep most functions pure
โ
Compose them together
Programming doesnโt have to be complicated.

I know a few people that landed 6 figure coding jobs right after a bootcamp
I know others that got 40K for their first job after doing a CompSci degree
In your first 2 years, don't worry about money, worry about what you learn
The money will come if you're good

For me, product-creating is the best way to learn something
Because to deliver a product you need to have in mind end-to-end how to convert the knowledge into a product

Why actually setImmediate is immediate?
Here is the explanation with a comparison with setTimeout

Motivation is temporary, where the key is emotions and dreams, unlike discipline, where the key is consistency. Change the game and be consistent

Few reasons Why you need to learn Node JS
- because non-blocking engine
- Event-driven architecture
- it's just the same Javascript and you don't need to learn new language to build backend
- the wide range of frameworks Nest.JS, Express, Koa, Fastify
- you can be full-stack dev

Throughout my career, I continued to interview every few months even when happily employed.
It's good to keep skills sharp, see where the industry is at, and compare offers to make sure you're being paid at market rate

The regular question during an interview: Tell us why you want to get this job?
the best practice: tell that you looking for new opportunities, and interested in the technology stack
bad: is telling that you want to make more money and buy a new car

TypeScript "function overloading" and "conditional types"
If the argument is true then the function will return type A, if the argument is false then type B
Did you know about "conditional types"? in @typescript

๐ก React Tip.
Did you know you can avoid conditionals in your return statement and just return early when loading/error?
In this case, I'm returning something different depending on if I'm loading or the request failed.
And if everything works fine, I return the data fetched!
![const Component = () => { const [data, setData] = useState();
const [loading, setLoading] = useState(true);
const [error, setError] = useState();
useEffect(() => {
const fetchData = async () => {
try {
const res = await axios.get('twitter.com/nachoiacovino');
setData(res.data);
} catch (err) {
setError(error);
} finally {
setLoading(false);
}
};
fetchData();
}, []);
if (loading) return 'Loading...';
if (error) return <div>{error}</div>;
return <div>{data}</div>;
