They provide excellent education courses - many for free! - and they encourage consideration of Insurance as a career for graduates.

Ireland is still a hive of InsurTech activity. In fact the first dedicated InsurTech Pre-Accelerator in Ireland started last week. Run by @dogpatchlabs and @InsurtechIRL in conjunction with @InsurtechInc. A great 1st cohort!

Great guide to AI/ML in insurance by @InsTech_London & @MerttsR. The point that 90% of the work is in data prep is well made. In our experience this is the area that companies are least willing to spend time & money on - unfortunately it is the bedrock of any data strategy.

This is why, along with the 10K+ costs & potentially being liable if relief was not granted when claimed, that as an Irish tech startup we immediately bypassed EIIS and recently got SEIS/EIS approval in the UK.
