This is a future gaming controller.. Thought I’d try out a £6.99 plastic ocarina. Actually tuned very well (alto C), and a good cheap not-easily-breakable alternative to a handmade clay one ready for Ocarina of Time! (To be worn casually like a clock gangsta style)

Don’t be fooled by the ~£18 clay Zelda 12-hole ocarinas on Amazon — they look the part and great if you only want an ornament but the tuning is apparently bobbins (check the reviews). Get a Songbird one if you want a clay one to actually play.

What's your best gaming achievement? Mine is getting the world record on Trials HD's Let's Get Physical. It took everything I had. August 18 2009. Note: It soon got beaten, and probably doesn't even make the top 100 now. But for one day, I was Dougie Lampkin :D

The main thing that kids of today will never appreciate, is the original N64 version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time fit, in its entirety, onto a 32MB cartridge. All those levels, all the code, all the audio — all that unbelievably good music, took up just 32MB.

They don’t appreciate how limited the hardware was. Yet it did OOT. And Mario 64. And Goldeneye. Yes your £3000 PC can run an Unreal game at 120fps. But the game takes up 800GB. And plays bobbins compared to any of those, and you can’t really hear it over the PC’s fans.

Back to Ocarina of Time though, imagine if they released it with no reveal event and you 'gave it a go' and saw *that* for the first time. SO hope there's a team giving Mario 64 the same treatment. Also, Odyssey 2 please thankyouplease.

Not having the latest Xbox, I tend to go PS5 for Multiplatform games and have for GTAVI. But lots of devs and hardcore / older gamers have both. So how do you decide which platform to get a game on? Seems PC is the probably the best option in GTA6's case though <cough>THIRTYFPS

£2000 is obviously a LOT for a phone, but it’s not a phone is it. It is a complete Personal Computer with an insane amount more power than whatever desktop PC you could buy just 20 years ago. Too bad their software updates turn your not-that-old printer into a doorstop…

I imagine the hard part is engineering the hinge so there’s no gap, rather than getting a screen that goes right to the edge. I’m amazed though how they’ve got an invisible camera behind the screen. Guess “no more island” will be coming to iPhone 19 next year!

Idea: Everybody with a paid Nintendo Switch Online account should automatically have a reservation to pre-order any new special edition console, controller or any 1st party physical game. For a limited time at least. Would help stop some of the scalpers exploiting die hard fans.

It’s about time that you could choose iOS or macOS on any device (ie any newer iPad and starting with the Duo for iPhone). Would be great for devs!
