The FAA holds a virtual public meeting tonight, 6 to 8 PM ET, on Blue Origin's plan to go from 12 to 50 New Glenn launches a year at Space Launch Complex 36.

Laurent Leboucher, executive VP for networks and group chief technology officer, told Light Reading in an interview on the sidelines of Network X that it would be more of a test rather than a demonstration, and that it can only take place once there are enough satellites in orbit.
"They should be ready by the end of the year, and that means that the test can start," he said. "That means also that we should have enough quality without too many interruptions, because if you don't have enough satellites, then you get interrupted from time to time."

Orange wants to expand satellite direct-to-device services through its partnership with AST SpaceMobile and its European JV with Vodafone, Satellite Connect Europe, but has postponed testing amid limited satellite coverage.

No, AST hasn't done any on-orbit testing in mid band. Block 1 and Block 2 are all low band.
Actually I bet if T-Mobile tested with AST, they would find much better results with interference management.
$ASTS $SPCX $TMUS: Based on the band being described, @TMobile probably found these interference concerns from their work with Starlink direct-to-cell, as Starlink has a very very poor Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR). Their satellite signals are not very precise and leaky into places where they shouldn't be.
T-Mobile comes out against satellite D2D in the 2496-2690 MHz band. Argues downlink interference from satellites could cause a cell site to lose up to 96% of its uplink coverage area and reduce uplink speeds for affected customers by 88% to 99%.

I don't own $ASTS and not advice, but if you're capitulating just because a stock price went down..
There's little investment thesis or conviction in the first place.
People always have multi-year ideas like $RKLB becoming the next $SPCX or AST becoming the next Starlink competitor.
Kinda reminiscent of retail favorite names like $HOOD back in 2024, or $NBIS later in 2025...
But there's always capitulation periods along the way like the time hedge funds shorted Nebius to $70 in Dec/Jan, after calling it the Neocloud winter.
Or the wave of negative analyst DGs on Robinhood on the drop back to $17.
Or even macro scares like April 2025.
So lot of retail investors never gave their original longs time to play out.
Fast forward, a lot of these popular retail names do end up cooking... so kinda sad seeing how quickly sentiment turns.
$ASTS decided to cut my losses. This stock is dropping with no bottom in sight. I got in at 88 and kept averaging down to my current average of 78, and I'm sitting on a 48% loss! This ticker is completely played out and hopeless. Good luck to anyone still holding.

The USPTO has granted AST & Science,m, U.S. Patent 12,771,024 B1, "Compensating Oscillations in a Large-Aperture Phased Array Antenna". It is a continuation with new claims on the same technology, joining US 12,040,553 and US 12,046,831 in the same family.
It protects a system that measures in real time how a large-aperture phased array deforms in orbit, using sensors such as differential GPS and accelerometers, and adjusts the beam phase in closed loop to offset it. It also covers a two-level correction, mechanical for the bulk of the deformation and phase-based for the rest, and its use in LEO for direct communication with end-user devices on the ground.
That is the structural challenge built into BlueBird: arrays of hinged modules that unfold in orbit and then flex and oscillate. In the patent's simulation, an 8.7-degree bend in a 10.3 m array splits the main lobe and costs about 3 dB of gain, roughly half the power in the beam direction. With compensation, the pattern returns to near-nominal. As apertures grow with Block 2, this compensation matters more.
