Never allow those who benefited from your expertise to erase your achievements, feather their own nests, or diminish what you delivered.
I gave some of my best years covertly only to be let down by broken promises— delivering top-tier cyber and comms results while educating those who were clueless.
My work may remain classified. My results do not lie.
Those who now try to hide the truth or claim credit they never earned will not succeed.
Integrity demands recognition of real contribution. I stand by mine.

I don’t want special treatment just do your jobs fairly! Maybe actually my fathers name on that Cyber centre plaque as I did more for the funding received than anyone!!
@PoliceServiceNI @ChiefConPSNI
Since putting my real name to this profile, I no longer have to dumb things down.
Policing was my father’s love. Imbedded in me to. The first time I took the police exam in Omagh, it was only to be a smug git. I will never shy away from who I was then, and I admitted long ago I was wrong. (I passed it twice more, but that story is for another day.)
The potential was always there. It never really hit home until the first commanding officer I looked up to—let’s call him Brian🤣 sat me down and told me they chose me because they saw how I was methodical on how I went about fixing things, I could go places and do things they couldn’t. He gave me my rules, showed me how close I could run to them, and handed me the tools I still use every day.
The following stayed with me because my cousin Mark (served in military & PSNI) handed me a journal with it printed inside.
An elite officer must possess authoritative command of the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 and its Codes of Practice, including the precise requirements for stop and search under Article 3 and Code A (with the GO WISELY mnemonic and mandatory recording), arrest under Article 26 and Code G (demanding both reasonable suspicion of an offence and satisfaction of the statutory necessity criteria), powers of entry, search and seizure under Articles 19–24 and Code B, and the full regime for detention, treatment and questioning under Code C, together with related identification and recording Codes.
This statutory mastery extends to supporting legislation such as section 3 of the Criminal Law Act (Northern Ireland) 1967, the Human Rights Act 1998 and relevant ECHR articles, the application of the National Decision Model, personal accountability for any use of force, and the operation of Gold/Silver/Bronze command structures, all underpinned by the PSNI Code of Ethics and the Competency and Values Framework.
The same officer must also maintain rigorous knowledge of the accountability architecture, encompassing the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Policing Board (including Articles 60 and 61), and the Police (Conduct) Regulations governing misconduct and gross misconduct, while treating disclosure obligations under the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 as absolute, combined with Northern Ireland-specific community sensitivities, personal and organisational operational security, and continuous professional development so that every exercise of power remains lawful, proportionate and defensible before the courts, the Ombudsman or the Policing Board.
The cyber & comms stuff came with uni—and hours and hours on a dial-up connection on some boards with some of the sharpest minds in the UK,Europe, Canada and NY way back when.
Yes, I sailed as close to the wind as possible, but that’s why all those top results still stand. We can chat about those later also.
I chuckled this week when someone asked me how the fuck I would know about policing. To be the best, I never left a stone unturned.
I’m away now. Total blackout for 6–8 weeks.
I’d like to thank Superintendent Cunningham, Inspector Hix, Inspector Winters and every great officer in Fermanagh and Omagh that has helped my Mother .

Section 14 of the Public Processions (Northern Ireland) Act 1998 makes it an offence to hinder or obstruct persons taking
part in a lawtul procession for the purpose of preventing it.
Article 20 of the Public Order (Northern Ireland) Order 1987 makes wilful obstruction of a lawful activity an offence.
Secondary liability attaches to anyone who encourages or counsels others to commit either.
@moneillsf @ChiefConPSNI
@PoliceServiceNI
The Garvaghy Road determination was lawful. Presence on the carriageway to stop the procession, and any call for others to remain and block it, engages both provisions. The same law applies to a First Minister as to any other citizen. If it does not, the law has ceased to operate.
The Police Ombudsman has already recorded the failure of @PoliceServiceNI Cyber.
A child-internet team at five officers against a complement of fourteen.
A Cyber Crime Centre of around sixty, buried under 1,796 devices and 10,000 CCTV exhibits in half a year, prioritising terrorism and serious crime over the protection of children. Call it what it is, it’s an extraction unit.
That is not a leading UK cyber unit. It is a backlog with a badge.
@PoliceServiceNI needs posts, not slogans.
A Detective Chief Superintendent who commands cyber and is not dual-hatted to Organised Crime.
Detective Superintendents for operations, digital forensics and Protect.
A Head of Cyber Threat Intelligence with tasking authority.
PIP 2 Computer Misuse Act investigators at a complement that ends the five-against-fourteen model.
PIP 3 SIOs for ransomware.
Covert internet investigators. 👍🏽❤️
Crypto tracers.
Malware reverse engineers.
Tactical hunters.
Ring-fenced online CSAE investigators so device queues never again decide which child waits.
ISO 17025 practitioners, cloud examiners, and disclosure officers who can survive a CPIA challenge.
A Cyber Protect arm that is a peer of the ROCU network, not a recipient of it.
Corporate SOC posts defend the police network. They do not investigate crime.
@PONIPressOffice wrote the failure down. @NIPolicingBoard holds the oversight duty. @naomi_long and @Justice_NI hold the resourcing lever. Headcount without this structure repeats it. Time to make @PoliceServiceNI great again. Let’s pinpoint what’s needed over Cyber month 🥳🥰

If you’ve ever had a dog, loved a dog, or had a dog save you… a soul dog. Go and watch Heart of the Beast.
I sat through it last night and cried like a child. Hat to wait 15 minutes after everyone left just to get myself together.
Odin isn’t a prop. He’s the film.
If that dog in your life is still here, go home and sit with them, hug them. If they’re not, you’ll know exactly why I couldn’t move.

Credit where it is due. You have forced a legal question that many preferred to leave dormant, and you have done so through process rather than street theatre. That is progress.
On @PoliceServiceNI and @ChiefConPSNI, you are wrong.
A last-minute Sinn Féin mobilisation produced a crowd heavily weighted toward older residents. To have driven that line with water cannon would not have vindicated the court-permitted procession. It would have handed the other side a forty-year propaganda asset: photographs, T-shirts, anniversary rallies and a narrative of state force against pensioners.
Operational command is required to weigh that consequence. Article 3 ECHR, the public-safety duty and the PACE (NI) Order 1989 do not dissolve because the protest was politically organised or unnotified.
The error, if there is one, is not the refusal to create that image. It is any subsequent failure to treat the blockade as what it was: an unlawful obstruction of a notified and court-permitted procession.
The remedy is not retrospective spectacle. It is now. Evidence was gathered. Warnings were issued. A dedicated inquiry team exists.
Those who occupied the carriageway, and those who directed or incited that occupation, should be identified and, where the evidential test is met, arrested and put before the courts.
Selective paralysis after the event is what corrodes confidence in policing, not a commander declining to gift the other side its next generation of martyrdom imagery.
Enforce the law after the fact with the same rigour demanded before it. That is the only course that survives operational scrutiny and public legitimacy.
Today @PoliceServiceNI were caught between a rock and a hard place. The boots on the ground were exemplary. Those 6/7 negotiators with badges on their vests even when faced with hatred, stupidity and high-ranking republican figures including Colin Duffy, Gerry Adams and others were simply superb.
The rule of law cannot be disregarded just because you dislike the outcome. @moneillsf’s position as First Minister is now untenable.

It is National Police Memorial Day. In Northern Ireland policing has been uniquely dangerous & yet this is the only place in the UK where some in power say murdering an officer was justified. Let’s show our gratitude & respect to the RUC GC, PSNI and remember the fallen. #NMPD25

Getting 3 serious cases looked at in my own district took months of delay. Getting a digital bundle and the deeds onto a file the prosecutor is running took a complaint to professional standards then a meeting with an inspector, Digital Evidence’s receipt, solicitors and now a barrister and its still it’s being chased?
A 73-year-old with severe copd and on oxygen 16hrs a day should not wait on Adult Safeguarding and a respiratory team before anyone treats it as policing. (16 crime ref over 10 months) PACE and safeguarding are not optional. Unused is not optional.

Ghost for a few weeks. 👻 Then down business.
I understand EVERYTHING now and that's why this needs to be done, I am happy to bear the consequences. But never think I act out of emotion or without a plan. (Those days are done)
This plan has been devised over a two year hiatus with a clear path to the real truth and facts being put on the record.
Corruption, ISDN4 and Enniskillen first
@PoliceServiceNI @PSNIFermOmagh @ChiefConPSNI
Just for the record, if the problem was just one inept sergeant I would deal with this the way I always have.
On the day in question she did not seize deeds or maps that showed I was on a right of way I hold. She did not seize my house CCTV. She did not take the phone footage from the only other person present. She did not take a statement from that person. She treated lawful letters, already known to local council and DAERA officers, as harassment.
That is not a judgement call. It is a failure to follow the basic duty in the PACE Codes and the CPIA Code of Practice: an investigator must pursue all reasonable lines of enquiry, whether they point towards or away from the suspect, and must obtain material that may prove or undermine the allegation.
Available CCTV, a witness on the scene, and title documents that go to the lawful purpose of being there are not optional extras.
There are now three delays that cannot be explained by one officer having a bad day.
First: nearly ten months to put any meaningful protection around an ex-officer with severe COPD who is being harassed and stalked because she had the bottle to say that probate had been hidden from her. Her respiratory team have recorded the effect. Service Instruction SI2517 says crimes against an Adult at Risk of Harm are to be investigated in a consistent, robust and proactive manner. That has not happened.
Second: a forgery and fraud file that sat for three to four months until a complaint to Professional Standards got it picked up. Still active. The original delay still sits on the record.
Third: a rogue trader who sent a bogus quote to clean a roof. When it was not accepted he came to the door with a hammer, threatened me and my mother over fifty pounds, and made threats to kill. It is a threat with a weapon at the home of a vulnerable adult. It needed to be treated as such from the first report. Four months later I was told they lost my statement and never investigated.
I have never asked for special treatment. I have asked that people just do the job that is written down.
Even now the deeds, the CCTV and a complete digital package that shows the original account for what it is have not been put on the file that went forward.
If that material is not added, the only question left is what it is being left off to cover, or whom.
This is all basic policing.
Accountability does not knock.
It waits until the room is quiet,
then sits down with the file
you swore was never coming.

We take seriously our responsibility to protect minors. X has zero tolerance for CSAM, including AI-generated CSAM. As an industry leader, we actively report and block users who violate our Terms of Service, which absolutely prohibit all forms of child sexual exploitation, including posting or engaging with child sexual abuse material. So far this year, we have reported 1.3 million cases to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Additionally, we employ industry-leading tools and processes to protect minors, including:
- We scan media against known-CSAM hash libraries (including hashes from NCMEC and partners such as IWF) using industry tools such as PhotoDNA alongside proprietary detection. We run models at post-creation time (LLMs and custom classifiers, legal/policy-reviewed) and conduct manual Child Safety operations reviews to catch CSE/CSAM that isn’t already in a hash set. We also run proactive keyword and media sweeps, plus heuristics that are partially or fully automated, when signals indicate possible CSAM.
- Apparent CSAM leads to removal, and we have permanently suspended over 780,000 users in the past month alone, with ban-evasion controls. Whenever we become aware of apparent CSAM (including AI-generated CSAM), we report it to NCMEC. AI-generated CSAM is enforced under the same Child Sexual Exploitation policy as non-generative CSAM. We also continuously improve hash coverage, classifiers, and review workflows because this threat is ever evolving and highly adversarial.
- We have also brought and will, if necessary, continue to bring lawsuits against users who have intentionally circumvented safeguards to generate this despicable content. In the first half of 2026 alone, X Corp made more than 1.3 million reports to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, resulting at least 543 arrests
- Finally, we are an active member of the Tech Coalition, an alliance of global tech companies who are working together to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse online. Tech Coalition is an invaluable resource to understand the best practices and new approaches used across the industry to detect and prevent the sharing of CSAM. It allows member companies to share best practices, challenges and new insights that ensure that we are up-to-date when it comes to trends related to these high severity violations.
Q? @PoliceServiceNI The PSNI ran a campaign against bogus traders who target the elderly.
Explain this. On 29 August 2026 I sat in a station and was told a 73-year-old woman on oxygen reported a doorstep demand, then threats to kill and a weapon…. it was never investigated.?
It was reported with Clear CCTV (17/04/2026) and The statement I gave was not even recorded.
Same man, same van, seen again in the same village. 999, 101, emails. Nothing, until tonight.
That is now with Professional Standards. She is the one who has paid for the delay. So maybe the least she deserves is the reasoning why?
@PoliceServiceNI @ChiefConPSNI @PSNIFermOmagh
I wasn’t invited back to many more big meetings because I’d always say what everyone was thinking!!! Or deal in Facts…
Let’s do the again…
The 2025-2030 Policing Plan from @NIPolicingBoard and @PoliceServiceNI talks a big game on being victim-focused, building safe communities and having a capable workforce after public consultation. Their own first-year scorecard called the three outcomes only “Adequate.” Two indicators were rated “Limited”: tackling cybercrime and representativeness of the service.
Drug offences climbed even as overall recorded crime dropped. Seizures ticked up after earlier falls, yet 251 drug-related deaths hit a record in 2024 with opioids dominating the certificates and pregabalin now the most-mentioned single substance.
Trafficking numbers stay stubbornly in the low thousands.
Organised crime seizures get the headlines while paramilitary-linked supply keeps flowing.
Child criminal and sexual exploitation expose the gap. Inspectors found no clear model for child criminal exploitation, frontline officers short on training, and kids too often treated as suspects instead of victims. Child sexual exploitation follow-ups showed most old recommendations still only half-done or not done; the Public Protection Branch has been chronically short-staffed.
Sexual offences rose and more than half have historically involved under-18s.
Persons of Concern for CSE hit record levels. Device backlogs leave evidence sitting for months. NRM referrals for exploited children lag far behind the rest of the UK.
Cybercrime — grooming, images, fraud — was one of the two areas @NIPolicingBoard itself marked “Limited.”????
Modern slavery and trafficking generate hundreds of NRM referrals but single-digit arrests in the same periods. Go look at escort Ireland or viva street any day?
Fraud sits inside the same stretched digital capability.
Officer numbers sit around 6,300–6,370 against a 7,000 target that unions say has evaporated. High sickness, neighbourhood team abstractions and a “Limited” representativeness rating undercut the workforce outcome the plan itself promised.
Funding and legacy costs keep squeezing the specialist units needed for the very harms the document claims to put first.
The plan is heavy on consultation language and ambition. The first-year numbers, inspections and @NIPolicingBoard’s own ratings show the distance between the words and delivery on drugs, exploitation, trafficking, cyber/fraud and the people supposed to tackle them.
@ChiefConPSNI
Developed through public consultation, the Policing Plan 2025-2030 outlines the Board and @PoliceServiceNI’s ambition for policing and police oversight for the next 5 years. Read it here: nipolicingboard.org.uk/polic…
A 59-year-old turned up to meet who he thought was a child. Result at Belfast Crown Court today: three years probation. No jail.
This is not a one-off. In 2024, 42% of those convicted of sexual assaults on children in NI received a non-custodial sentence. Between 2019-23 only half of child sex offence convictions even got prison
Over 90% of those who did got under five years.
Other recent decoy cases have also ended in probation.
@PoliceServiceNI Officers put in the time. The sentence does not match the effort or the public expectation.
Time every party in Stormont stopped treating this as someone else’s problem.

Policing with the PSNI is far more than a job – it’s a true vocation.
Every day you protect communities, support the vulnerable and make Northern Ireland safer.
The opportunities are vast: Cyber Crime Centre & digital/phone extraction forensics, Major Investigation Teams (MIT), Organised Crime Units, Economic Crime, Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking, Public Protection (Child Abuse, Domestic Abuse, CSE), Tactical Support Group, Armed Response, Headquarters Mobile Support Unit, Roads Policing, Crime Scene Investigators, Specialist Operations, Surveillance and so much more.
Policing in Northern Ireland deserves to be a first-choice career. If you want purpose, challenge and the chance to change lives… this is it.

I always knew I couldn’t keep Bitcoin on centralized exchanges.
They can freeze withdrawals, go insolvent, or simply disappear with customer funds.
I couldn’t keep Bitcoin in hot software wallets.
Any internet-connected device is a malware target. One successful remote compromise and the keys are gone.
As below shows I also cannot rely on a single cold hardware wallet.
A firmware defect, entropy failure, or supply-chain compromise on the manufacturer’s side is a single point of total failure.
Recent events have demonstrated this risk is not theoretical.
I cannot deploy Bitcoin into DeFi protocols.
Smart-contract exploits continue to extract eight- and nine-figure sums with regularity.
So the only remaining question is where the Bitcoin is actually kept under real operational security?
The answer for me was always a geographically distributed, multi-vendor 2-of-3 multisignature cold storage architecture.
Three independent private keys are generated on three hardware signers from three different manufacturers. Any two of those keys are required to authorise a spend. The devices remain air-gapped. Seeds are stamped onto metal plates and stored in separate physical locations. Signing is performed offline via QR or microSD.
The coordinating software is watch-only and never holds private material.
This configuration eliminates custodial counterparty risk, eliminates remote malware risk, eliminates single-manufacturer firmware or entropy failure, and keeps the funds completely outside smart-contract attack surfaces.
It is not the most convenient method.
It is the method that survives the threat model as it actually exists.
That is how serious holdings are secured.
