👇🏼 Federal oversight SLOWS our ability to prosecute local crime. Eliminating the DC Attorney General is unacceptable and an insult to the 700K taxpayers and residents of Washington, DC, which appears to be the point based on the past month’s activity here.
Similarly, @DCAttorneyGen sent his own letter to Congress, saying that allowing the president to appoint the city's AG "would concentrate all criminal and civil litigation authority in the President, divesting the District and its residents of any local control."

The cheapest health insurance on D.C. 's exchange is $700+ per month with a $6500 deductible.
Kicking working families off Medicaid will mean many residents will opt not to have insurance because the exchange is so expensive. It will make DC sicker and make our ERs primary care.
