Debutante.
It feels like my first year out in society.
This is my favorite still from this movie. And that’s why I used it. It’s maybe the most powerful still from the film.
Chineke nna za’m ekpere.

You don’t solve poverty by teaching everyone to become millionaires. You solve poverty by building an economy where ordinary work can produce a decent life.

Scrap NYSC. Keep the staff if you must, like you’ve kept the staff on at every moribund agency public establishment. But the price you’re asking everyday people to pay for this ongoing travesty is too high.

I’ve been promoting my stage play, The Greatest Actor Of All Time, against all odds. The odds being that I haven’t met the threshold of tickets and all my sponsors have pulled out this week.
The show is on Sunday. I’m tired but we move.

Earlier this year, I tweeted that NEPA still has an office in central London & some people didn't believe me. Lol
That JAMB office in Canada will be an everlasting bag for someone. I won't be surprised if they open one in London & another somewhere in Asia. 😂

Tinubu and his APC must go. We are not a poor country. We are being robbed blind by him and his goons. Nigerian children should not get kidnapped, starved and killed. Young Nigerian adults should not feel this hopeless about their future in their own country. O ti to. Ozugo.

I am opening up slots for new marketing mentees. This is serious business so I am on the lookout for early stage marketers [< five years of experience] who are willing to do what it entails. There will be 1:1 sessions, progress check-ins, practical assignments, career development reviews, portfolio/CV/LinkedIn reviews and ad-hoc career support.
This is a free but practical mentorship programme, you will be expected to show up, complete assignments, apply feedback and take ownership of your development. My role is to provide guidance, challenge your thinking and share my experience; your role is to do the work.
Please do not apply if you do not meet the criteria and are not willing to do what it entails, I will appreciate it if you do not waste my time.
While everyone is welcome to apply, female candidates and gender minorities are *strongly* encouraged to apply.

'Votes don't count' might be the biggest psyop in Nigeria. The people who tout it basically need you to believe it, because once you stay at home, low turnout makes the rigging easy, and that's how it fulfils itself.
So please go out and vote.

Begging you people to please look at the lives of your age mates outside the country and understand what this people have taken from us.
Nothing about how we’re living is ok. Absolutely nothing. It is not language or culture or alliance to tribesmen that will save us.

I bought fuel yesterday in Toronto, Canada, at $1.7999 CAD per litre, and it cost about $98.95 CAD to fill up my tank. This should ideally last me about a week or more.
Now, the minimum wage in Canada is $17.95 CAD per hour, which means someone who works an average of 8 hours a day will earn $143.60 CAD before tax. A day's salary is enough to fuel his or her car for 2–3 weeks. This means that even one of the lowest earners in Canada can afford to own and drive a car daily without the cost of fuel becoming an overwhelming burden. Public education for children is also free and of high quality.
In Nigeria, fuel is about ₦1,300 per litre. It would cost about ₦88,000 to fill up a similar tank. The minimum wage in Nigeria is ₦70,000 per month. This means that an entire month's minimum wage cannot even fill the tank once.
A minimum-wage earner in Nigeria cannot realistically afford to own, fuel, and maintain a car. The same person still has to afford food, rent, children's education, healthcare, electricity, transportation, and other basic necessities. The list goes on.
In fact, even a bank manager in Nigeria earning ₦1 million monthly could still struggle to maintain a decent standard of living after covering these basic expenses.
This is one reason poverty is so widespread in Nigeria. The cost of basic living is simply too high relative to what the average person earns.
You don't just have an income problem in Nigeria. You have an affordability problem.
For millions of Nigerians, simply living a decent life has become too expensive and increasingly impossible.
