My piece for @IndoSport on the breakthrough Irish stars across motorsport, athletics and American sports!
💰New stars threatening to impact the bank balances of stars in traditional sports💰

As a commercial aside to the Ireland v Israel game, it’s fascinating that Sky let their brand be front and centre for all of this.
They knew in advance it would be toxic but it’s been way worse than expected #Sponsorship #IrelandVIsrael
The irony of not taking a stand against Israel game for fear of getting relegated from Nations League B and we just get relegated anyway for being crap #NationsLeague #KOSIRL
After @DavidSneyd scoop today on RTE only running minimal coverage of the Israel games, my piece from June 👇
Still no word on how visibly involved Ireland’s key sponsors will be around the games 💰
Will they want to be seen to be involved in such a toxic fixture ❓
Last shout for my @IndoSport piece on the Ireland v Israel clash ⚽️
🚨 This has become a major headache for FAI sponsors & their visibility
💰Financial consequences
👀Reputational risk
⚽️A controversy that could have lasting implications

It was never about the money for Katie Taylor, she just wanted to set the bar to what she felt her talent deserved - and for future female boxers 🥊
Great to chat to @johnmeaghermuso for today’s @Independent_ie on Katie’s Fortune ahead of next weekend at Croker 🏟️
Katie Taylor’s fistful of dollars: The boxer’s estimated $20m fortune and the lucrative deal she turned down independent.ie/irish-news/ka…
One of the best Football Championships in years…
The GAA - “No, that’s not quite it, let’s just make a few more small tweaks…”

📺Why GAA stars deserve a personal profile and exposure they are not getting
⭐️Need to build a structure to support commercial exposure
🤫New generation want to break social media taboos & build profile
#GAA
🔴🟢 The GAA has a problem.
Some of Ireland’s best young sporting talent is being drawn towards the AFL.
Kobe is one example — but could more have been done?
There’s Love Island, the Bible and even Ronnie O’Sullivan in this one 🎱
My latest for @IndoSport 👇
Nothing better in Irish sport than a T&F finals night with Ireland in contention 🇮🇪
Excellent @RTEsport coverage 📺
World class analysis from @RM_Heffernan, @DervalORourke & @soniaagrith

33,419 - Camogie All-Ireland Finals
26,471 - Ladies Football All-Ireland Finals
That’s quite the swing for Camogie who have the bigger attendance for the first time since 2009!
A big drop for Ladies Football who had 56,000 in 2019.
#Camogie #LadiesFootball #GAA
The Mayo curse lifted ☠️
In 1951 Mayo last won the All-Ireland
The celebrations that day interrupted a funeral
The priest said they would not win again until the last team member died
He died in 2023
This was their first final since🏆
75 years

The men’s GAA Championship is finishing
The football has been excellent at times, but is the season itself becoming harder to enjoy?
📺 More paywalls
🏑 Hurling squeezed
🏆 Tailteann overlooked
📅 Fixture congestion
⏳ Less time to build anticipation
