18 years married to this wonderful man today. This is our wedding photo from our unconventional Vegas wedding. He is my rock. He’s always there for me regardless. This year has been tough with my heart attack, but his support and love is unwavering 🥰

I don’t like to make a fuss, hence why I have stayed quiet, but now I’m doing ok I think it’s time to post. Early last month I had a heart attack. As you know I am healthy, fit and look after myself.

I foolishly didn’t go to A&E as I thought it was probably stress induced anxiety (no lectures please, I’ve had enough of them from medical professionals!!), a mistake which could have been costly, so please, if you get the symptoms on the photos, no ifs no buts, dial 999.
Thankfully, the fact that I am so fit is meaning I am bouncing back. I’m still undergoing some tests but I am feeling OK, and my cardiologist is hopeful that signs are suggesting I won’t need surgery. But I thought I would share these pictures, as they could save your life!

My symptoms were fairly typical as a woman, but symptoms I didn’t know. Whilst the chest pain was pretty bad (it felt like an elephant was sat on my chest), it was actually the jaw pain, upset stomach and fatigue that was worse. In the run up, I had shortness of breath too.

OK, I’m diabetic, but that that’s well controlled and there is a family history (with neither of my parents making it to the age I am now due to heart issues), but I thought as a triathlete I’d dodge the bullet.

One of the most sensible takes on ‘cancel culture’ I’ve seen. Sensible, honest, smart. I’m posting the video directly as Times Radio tweeted it with a clickbait and somewhat misleading headline that unintentionally confirmed his point. More of this please.

I #StandWithGrahamNorton, he is a remarkable man. Kind, humble and a fabulous ambassador for the LGBT community. I support and am with trans people as they fight against prejudice and injustice.
Poor show when you are in holiday inn express in London Stratford (@IHGhotels) and you try and order a panini for lunch from the 24hr menu and they tell you they aren’t doing ANY food until 6pm. Not even the alleged 24hr items.

We’re looking for 3 registered GPs to bring their experience into our programmes, and join our clinical team. It’s a fantastic opportunity to play an important role in changing the way health and care services are delivered through technology and data 👇 ow.ly/4P7x50L2hcV
It’s been great tracking Phil and friends at events today. But it’s with a twinge of sadness with being too unwell to take part. Feeling a bit lost at the moment.

I am passionate about working in the NHS, despite not being a clinical member of staff. So today, on international nurses day, I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful nurses. The work that you do humbles me, amazes me, and makes me proud ❤️ Diolch!

We are excited to announce that we now have a clothing bank in Cefn Coed Hospital. This is in addition to our existing one in Morriston hospital. Thanks to Choose2Reuse for helping turn recycling into valuable funds for the charity.
