So often we take to social media to complain. today I want to thank/compliment the staff @Hobbycraft Maidenhead (esp Victoria) for going the extra mile - not for the 1st time - to help me get what I need for my art projects. These two pics of Brighton can now have matching frames
I just joined the @GreenpartyukRBX because I think Zack Polanski is right - the way to counter right wing populism is progressive populism. Needless to say I #BackZack (pic is called Shades of Green)

Somerset House is currently closed due to a fire which has broken out in one small part of the building.
All staff and public are safe and the site is closed. The London Fire Brigade arrived swiftly and we’re working very closely with them to control the spread of the fire.
So true, if the media said “2 children seeking refuge in the UK died today attempting to reach the shore” maybe people would behave more humanely- as soon as as you put the word refugee in there - people (not all people) switch off
"When we talk about asylum seekers and refugees
as though they are less than human, we help in their dehumanisation. It's not surprising that people then go one step further."

These 2 Plymouth rioters have been convicted of 209 previous offences + they told the police they were rioting because immigrants cost the taxpayer too much money.
Judge Linford made them work out how much their offending had cost Britain's taxpayers over the last 38 years.👇🏻

I just read one of those mealy-mouthed articles about a far right nutter. It used Alt Right, New Right, populist & various other ‘I can’t believe it’s not far right’ terms.
It’s depressing when supposedly respectable newspapers collude & appease extremists by using these terms.

In the wake of 7th October, Jewish student life on campus was turned on its head.
This event is an important opportunity to hear directly from Jewish students.
CAA has brought together current students and recent graduates from universities across the country to share their stories and answer your questions. It is also a chance for us to come together to show our support and solidarity with those who faced this new generation of hate head-on.

It’s not quite time for #dogsatpollingstations yet. But Bertha is too scared to go out yet anyway. So here is #DogsWithPostalVotes (she was too scared to get any closer to the postal votes than this - 1st attempt involved disaster with the water bowl!) #BerthaFromBattersea
