"If our goal is simply to sign something, MPC is performant enough to handle these computations. That said, the process becomes expensive because mutually distrustful parties must come together to agree on certain things. But what if we introduce a trusted 'pillar' so it becomes a lot faster?"

Almost every interaction i had at @DeComputeConf i learned something. Some of the talks are sometimes a bit hard for me to follow because i don´t have all the maths pre requisite but we all have to start somewhere. Its a small event packed with nice sharp people of diverse backgrounds. Really happy we came early to attend it before breakpoint

So the new security model decouples slashable stake as Unique Stake. Does this means there will be no longer slashing/security interdependencies across Operator Sets?
Also, what is the role of Total Stake. My understanding is that simply shows how much economic skin in the game someone is showing by keeping it locked.
