There has been FUD around how the recent amazing proximity gaps results affect current implementations of ZK. STARKs and Ligero use proximity gap theorems. At @ligero_inc, we have *NOT* relied on any unproven conjectures on proximity gaps. Google's ZK implementation by @abhvious and @MatteoFrig60839 *DO NOT* rely on any unproven conjectures. Both us and the Google team provide the best possible security and are *NOT BROKEN* by any of the amazing recent results. Thank your for your attention!

I noticed @chamath + crew had all the clues to short Credit Suisse a few weeks ago (when they offered him +190 basis points to play). @chamath did you? abhvio.us/posts/credsui/

My first opinion piece for WSJ, in praise of public libraries (against funding cuts). Oddly, most commentators seem to dislike libraries! Who knew? What the Medicis Could Teach Eric Adams - WSJ wsj.com/articles/what-the-me…

I just watched Amit do an amazing job explaining Zero Knowledge proofs using our classic examples! You should have a look, watch it with your kids, and don't miss Shang-Hua's cameo. wired.com/video/watch/5-leve…

On receiving a preprint of Cammy’s new book, my kids want to start a YouTube channel in which they unbox academic books instead of toys or gadgets. Bingo!

Same here, but times have changed. Now I send those emails to my students.
When I was a grad student, I would routinely send my advisor long emails declaring that I had solved a problem, and then it would turn out that I added 2+2=5 and everything was broken, and I'd be super embarrassed about it
