“I don’t want to understand them—I want to punish them.”
That line hit me hard.
But here's the truth:
If we refuse to understand before we punish, we don't want justice—we want wrath.
And wrath, burns everything.
This might be the most important thing I’ve written. Link below.

Congress voted six times to tell the president to stop the Iran war.
Every "ceasefire" since has reset the War Powers clock. That's not peace. It's paperwork.
@cenkuygur and I don't agree on much. We agree on this: if Congress didn't declare it and didn't fund it, it isn't constitutional.
Without superpowers, one armed man may stand against many aggressors. It doesn't have to be this way.

Dru is the best of us. I wholeheartedly endorse her for whatever office she runs for.
If you live in Senate District 41 (Helena), vote Libertarian. We have a unique opportunity, as there is no GOP candidate in this race.

There’s a way to make homes affordable again.
And it’s already in front of us. But a lot of cities make it hard to do.
Builders started about 943,000 single-family homes last year.
What if there was the option for a
second unit? A separate entrance and its own kitchen.
A place for a parent, a grown kid, or a
renter who helps cover the mortgage.
It could add up to nearly a million homes a year.
The city shouldn’t be able to say no.
Op-ed from Eric Osth at CNU in the replies.

Our newest episode with Larry Sharpe is out now.
New York used to be the place you went to become somebody. Now a lot of people leave to do it.
We sat down with @LarrySharpe to talk about why rent is so high in New York and what a rent freeze really does.

For 70 years in most of America, you could own a half acre and still be legally barred from putting a small second home on it. Not because it was unsafe. Because the code said one house per lot .
Utah just ended that. Since October 1, if your lot is over 11,000 square feet, a backyard home is a permitted use. No hearing, no neighbor veto, no conditional use permit.
Orem spent last night rewriting its definitions to match.
That’s what winning looks like. No program, no subsidy. A state just stopped cities from saying no.
Every state could do this tomorrow.

crazy moment in the NY governor debate: Hochul says she wishes she pushed even harder on YIMBY policies, meanwhile, Blakeman literally *brags* about how his NIMBY policies have made housing so expensive

Preach. 👏
I would give up a lot to give the next generation a better chance.
I want the American Dream to be an attainable reality for Gen Z
A recession is necessary. Here's our case.
Think of it as a hangover. As a country, we keep reaching the morning after, and instead of sobering up, we pour another drink. We did it in 2001, 2008, and 2020. Getting healthy means cutting spending instead of adding more.
In housing, that means letting people build single-family homes, duplexes, triplexes, townhomes, and apartments over shops, without a planning commission, a zoning board, or a neighbor holding a veto.
Homes get affordable when people are allowed to build them.
Adult talk here guys. It's time to get sober.
