This is absolutely brilliant
SNL took a commercial for a real psoriasis medication and turned it into a story about a mysterious force that may have existed before humanity. Ryan Gosling, Sarah Sherman and Ashley Padilla helped turn “Otezla” into one of those sketches that gets more ridiculous the longer you watch. Here’s how it works.

It seems like that’s always a chance we take in football, whether or not the referee will do their job competently and fairly. One’s hope is that one’s team is so good that the calls become irrelevant. Bad calls can snowball a game quickly unfortunately, especially a Close one. Favorite quote from this weeks podcast “The rules that we've inherited are always worth questioning.” - well said my friend Fool On !

Notre Dame-BYU ridiculous uncalled pass interference as American football continues to try to grapple with ambiguous rules that themselves aren't enforced.

On a plane and the flight attendant announced “Your captain today is Captain Mike.” What? Don’t tell me that. “Captain Mike” sounds like a 9 year old boy who won a contest and now gets to pilot this jet. Tell me Mike’s last name or don’t even acknowledge his existence.

🏈 New football rule? ANY uncaught pass behind the line of scrimmage = FUMBLE. No more debates about whether the QB’s arm was moving forward. Brilliant—or madness? 🤔 @kimballcrossley makes his case on this week’s @RBIPodcast: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Some financial lessons start early. Others come later. But what if we started sooner? In our latest #FoolishLeaders spotlight, Board Member Sylvia Sierra explains why early investing education matters for the next generation. Investing shouldn’t feel out of reach. 💛

Ironically, I was still mad about a couple of tripping calls at my son’s flag football game that the ref failed to call, and they lost the game by one touchdown in the last game of the season. Perfect timing. ⏱️ The fact that Kimball couldn’t talk about baseball ⚾️ just made me want to hear him talk about baseball even more 😂

Thanks, @SamHornIntrigue - I'm honored to be part of your book!
I had the pleasure of interviewing Bill Burke @BurkeOptimist , former CEO of the Turner TBS Superstation, the Weather Channel Companies, and founder of The Optimism Institute, for my new book, The Force for Good Project. Bill told me, “Sam, the media is in the business of grabbing our eyeballs with sensationalistic headlines. They know that anything that threatens, alarms, or outrages us keeps us glued to our devices, so they deliberately over-index on anything that does that. “But negative news is not the norm. It’s simply what sells. No one stands in an airport and says, ‘Wow, a thousand flights took off and landed safely today.’ However, if there’s an accident, it’s an instant headline. “Why not start noticing and appreciating the 999 flights that did take off and land safely instead of only noticing the one that didn’t? “I’m on a mission to help people reclaim their optimism by noticing and appreciating these positive norms, instead of negative news.” Bill said, “The metaphor I use is that "Pessimists see the glass as half empty. Optimists see the glass as half full. Actionable optimists refill the glass.” I laughed, “Wow, Bill. What a great visual. You’re right, optimism isn’t just an accident or an attitude; it’s an action. It isn’t just a mindset, it’s a learned skill set. Choosing to see the glass as half full and taking responsibility to refill it is how we canbe a proactive Force for Good in the world. Thanks for that insight." Want more stories and insights like this? You can find them in my new book "The Force for Good Project," available NOW in Audible and Kindle. amazon.com/Force-Good-Projec…

Just because a rule has been around forever doesn’t mean it’s a good rule! 🤔 🏈 Football. Investing. Life. Rule Breakers question the rules—and dream up better ones. 💡 @kimballcrossley & I put football’s rulebook on trial on this week’s @RBIPodcast: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

🏈 Sports have rules. Rule Breakers question them! Pass interference: maddeningly subjective. And often, the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. Couldn't we do better? @kimballcrossley joins me to rethink football’s rules on this week’s @RBIPodcast: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

I read the book The Score, How To Stop Playing Somebody Else's Game. @DavidGFool recommended it in his Authors In August series on his podcast, @RBIPodcast🙏 C. Thi Nguyen gives a DCF (discounted cash flow) as an example of 'objectivity washing.' That's taking something subjective and making it look objective. This resonated with me because I have been saying the same thing for years about DCFs. It doesn't mean a (reverse) DCF is totally useless, but it shouldn't be seen as anything more than an informed guess that is much more often wrong than right.

And even stranger things when they’re loosing or making a lot of it through volatility. You would then have to factor in limit loss selling or buying because they would take place after a certain percentage of price action movements as well. It’s easy to see how predicting the market is so challenging and not something I’d ever be good at. 😂 “A lot of work, for being right about 50% of the time.” My investing hero would say - @DavidGFool Rulebreakerinvesting.com

A $2,600 hospital bill became $0 in just one week. For Mikela, that meant more than a lower balance. It meant breathing room, relief, and one less thing to fear. Now Mikela shares Dollar For with clients, helping more people find that same support. 💛 foolfoundation.org/if-fund/d…

The best Rule Breakers don’t just beat the market. They change how the world works. $NVDA is powering the AI revolution. $PLTR is turning data into decisions. $CRWD is redefining cybersecurity. The opportunity is bigger than the market understands. Great companies don’t punish you for being late. They reward you for recognizing how much runway remains.
