I think people don’t realize how much being a doctor involves:
1) understanding and alleviating patient suffering
2) arranging/coordinating/approving medical, hospital, and pharmaceutical services/goods
AI won’t change medicine as much as people think, except of course for deepening physicians’ clinical knowledge.
Really good, healthy skeptical take
This essay doesn’t move the needle for me. The data I have seen are mostly not convincing. The people in government mentioned here are operating on hearsay that tends to get inflated. E.g., Trump’s statement is not about seeing evidence but about hearing the hearsay. Avi hasn’t produced any solid evidentiary reason to believe and his own methodology has tended to undermine his credibility among astronomers and space scientists. I have background in chasing radar and sensor anomalies and what I’ve seen of Gimbal, GoFast, Tic Tacs, etc., is not compelling. The statements of the government officials like Grusch, in view of what I know about sensor behavior, tends to undermine their credibility in my eyes. The hypothesis that these are normal human psychological and sociological reactions to poor data and uncertainty seems a lot stronger than the hypothesis that these events are extraterrestrial visitors.
Now having said all that, I have heard some personal eyewitness accounts that are very hard to explain. I’m not saying there is no evidence. I’m just saying it hasn’t become compelling to me, yet. The arguments about correlation with the nuclear age and AI do feel significant to me. The astronomical flashes and their correlation to nuclear events do seem important and need further study. The new story that just came out about the two nuclear missile guards who reunited after 50 years is really interesting (I haven’t finished watching the long video yet).
However, every time I read an essay like this one, I start out thinking, “oh wow is this gonna be the big one that blows open the story with some new insights?” but after reading these essays I always go away disapppointed, more of a skeptic after reading than I was before.
If my skepticism is later proven unwarranted, that will be the most interesting outcome and I won’t be unhappy, but for now it is what it is 🤷♂️

The most mysterious unidentified anomalous phenomena in the five tranches of data are orbs.
These orbs are glowing entities estimated to be on the order of meters in size. The encounters are diverse. The second tranche mentions a senior intelligence officer's 2025 account of being left virtually speechless after an hour-long observation of orange orbs. The fifth tranche provides a helicopter account of an orb swarm with a series of close UAP encounters lasting over an hour. Some orbs are consistent with earlier historical reports on Tic-Tac-shape object.
Agree - out of this 5-10 year push for transparency and information about UAPs, orbs are seemingly the most “real” and worthy of immediate scientific scrutiny.
Political efforts on crash retrieval are ongoing - I’m not counting that out yet either - but on the whole the orbs (once called foo fighters) are the most straight forward and uncontroversial way to start learning scientifically about all UAP.
(Also while not perfectly related to the above - calling out here that anecdotes count - keep talking and keep telling your stories)

Radar - Which publicly accessible radar systems monitor objects flying low in our skies? Name them, really.
The UFO discourse drives me crazy. The idea of aliens has gone mainstream like never before. People are convinced that things have been hidden from us, and there's good reason to think we've been visited by aliens.
Don't buy any of it. Our ability to monitor the sky, from camera phones to radar and observation satellites, has increased exponentially.
Meanwhile, the evidence for aliens remains exactly the same: eyewitness testimony and grainy dots that appear to move funny.
The sky is vast. It is full of birds, planes, drones, balloons, satellites, etc. It is also where the sun is, which is known to create optical illusions. Of course there are going to be things that appear weird!
Whenever government actually seriously looks into the phenomenon, they find that some incidents can be explained, others can't because of a lack of data, and there is no evidence for alien visitors or something supernatural. Debunking videos get posted online and published in government reports, but don't get a fraction of the attention of conspiracy theory podcasts telling us that aliens are here.
The interesting question is why the hysteria has come now. It's simply a reflection of living in a populist era. There were always UFO cranks, but scientists and government experts used to be able to dismiss them.

Agree that consciousness is a part of this one way or the other folks are going to have to pony up to that part of the discussion.
Last month, Disclosure Foundation Advisory Board Member Dr. Jennice Vilhauer wrote an article for @PsychToday titled "Is Psychology Ignoring One of the Biggest Human Mysteries?" The human mystery being alluded to here is the reality of UAP.
As Dr. Vilhauer argues in the article, the significance of UAP extends beyond determining what these phenomena are. The more important piece lies in human reaction to these topics.
Questions of perception, consciousness, belief, identity, and how individuals and societies adapt to potentially worldview-changing information all warrant serious scientific study. Psychology has an important role to play in preparing for - and understanding - the human dimensions of disclosure.
Maybe I’ve been at this too long but I’m starting to doubt there will be “ontological shock.” While ontological shock will happen for people who have been directly affected by UAP and NHI and also for those who are interested in the topic (and at this point - it already has in all likelihood for most in this group), the last several months-to-years really show that most people just don’t care.
Also, for the great majority, UAP/NHI do not affect their daily lives. If disclosure happens, they’ll have a weird week or two (which was my personal experience after Grusch’s NewsNation interview) with things like poor sleep and maybe some anxiousness, distrust in government, etc, but then will probably go back to normal.
From a societal perspective, some folks will continue to deny their existence but on the whole I think we’ll handle things just the same as any other controversial topic. Which of course, we tend to handle terribly as a society. But my point is I think knowledge that we’re not alone is NOT going to cause any real crisis or catastrophe. It’ll just be one more thing on the news and in our lives.
I have other thoughts about the individuals who are seriously affected by UAP/NHI. That’s a different tweet. This one is about society.
My goal in stating the above is to push the leaders of disclosure and primary witnesses to come forward as soon as they can. We don’t need to “be prepared.” People will adjust to what is known and - yes - everything will be OK 🩺
Harvard psychiatrist John Mack believed that the “ontological shock” of discovering that aliens exist could ultimately be productive for humanity.
Mack observed that people fiercely defend their basic assumptions about reality because losing them can be psychologically destabilizing. But he also believed that precisely this kind of disruption can force us to reconsider our basic assumptions and develop a deeper understanding of reality.

Many conversations have led to Jay Stratton (@jaystratton). I am glad to see that he is willing to come “Out of the Shadows” and go public with his story. He has been very cooperative to me during these last few months. I am glad to see that the public will get to hear the story that he has told me. I am looking forward to reading this. Possible hearing may be coming as I am sure some of our colleagues will have questions.

I hope there really is a big speech coming because I have to admit while it’s interesting that the witnesses, a congressman, and a couple scientists are talking about real evidence of UAP, I find myself increasingly doubting that we’re going to see conclusive evidence anytime soon.
The astounding conclusion is not only that the United States government knows these objects are real, but also that they have tech / methods with a now proven capability to lure these objects.
If a sitting Congressman is stating publicly that such “luring” activities did indeed occur, then the public needs to continue to demand answers.
