Unashamedly self congratulating/promoting tweet: a client just mimed a graph going upwards with their hand, to describe what they saw in their sales figures when my last test went live. Very satisfying!

Hey all. If you know me, you know I don't post these sorts of posts very often, but well, things are getting kinda tight and I kinda need to get this off my chest. As some of you know, three months ago, I was laid off. Not being someone to take these sorts of things sitting down, I got to work setting up my own little shingle. I told myself I'd apply for new jobs while also trying to start something and see which one takes off first. And I've been doing that, in both areas. Unfortunately though, in the months since, neither have taken off—at least in a near term, which has caught me by surprise. Sure, I've been building great relationships and the foundation for some great content, but unfortunately that's not paying the bills in the short term. And frankly, after getting my last two roles based on the network and relationships built on here, it's been hard to come to terms with getting little to no traction now. Which brings me to the bottom line of why I'm posting... In short, I'm the primary breadwinner for my family and things are getting tight. I need a win. Today's my birthday so I figured why not just come out and ask for help. If you or someone you know needs an experienced agency/services marketer, I'd love an opportunity to chat with them. Whether a win comes in the form of a job opportunity or a consulting/freelance gig, I'm not picky. So if you are somebody with a need in this area would you reach out or if you know someone would I could help, would you make an intro? It would mean the world to me.

This is the kind of advice and detail that companies pay 💰 for. Cheers @DaveAnalyst !

Assuming a real underlying conversion rate of 6% (i.e. assuming the test doesn't really make any difference), you'd see an 8% conversion rate about 30% of the time at this stage. The 0% conversion rate for the control is more unusual, but you'd still see it about 1%

Absolutely fascinated to discover: 1) Psychology is now the 2nd most popular A-Level choice, just behind maths 2) Gender differences by subject are enormous

My podcast debut! Building CRO Into Replatforming Projects And New Tech Releases I'm a firm believer that experimentation is: 1) Extra valuable in shaping big site changes / full site relaunches 2) Usually vastly underutilised in those situations replatform.fm/cro-replatform…

You get MUCH better value by working with an experimentation specialist before building and launching a new site. (Some long-winded but hopefully valuable answers to some big questions!)

I'm speaking tomorrow (Thu 1pm UK time) on using GPT3 in ecommerce and CRO, on scale in Google Sheets. Over 100 people have signed up so far. You can join them here: awa-digital.com/events/gpt3-…

I’ve used GPT3 to save hours, or sometimes days on survey analysis, while maintaining accuracy. Here’s my best solution so far: 🧵

...I found that making GPT3 read both a quote and a list of themes left too much opportunity for misinterpretation each time. It also became slow and more expensive.

In summary: GPT3 can definitely save you a lot of time on survey analysis, letting you ask a lot more, valuable open questions and use your time to dig into the detail
