Amy Acton was raped by her stepfather when she was 12.
As a former prosecutor of child sexual abuse, I saw this pattern too frequently: a child victim discloses the abuse by a stepdad or mom’s boyfriend, and mom takes the abuser’s side because she can’t bear to think that she had exposed her own child to a monster.
Mom is protecting mom—not the child.
Every DA will tell you the same—it’s a painful pattern. It’s the most infuriating thing to hear a mother accuse a child of lying despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I’ve had jury members plead with me after trial to arrest the mother for aiding and abetting.
Vivek Ramaswamy has embraced the Trumpian role of taking the side of the predator—and despicably rolled out Amy’s estranged mother to denounce Amy.
The brother of @amyactonoh confirms Amy’s account. The child protection authorities did the same—and took custody of both of them away from Acton’s mother.
This is disgusting politics. Vivek, you may not be better than this, but the American people are.

I agree with Slotkin that we need a big messy primary. But like come on with these people desperately trying to get Harris to not run and putting that burden on other politicians. It’s Harris’ choice to make and I hope she does run.

I would say you are correct in thinking that Alaska isn’t becoming a swing state and this is more of a byproduct of the political environment of a deeply unpopular incumbent senator and 24+ years of Republican governorship, in which the bipartisan state legislature is a result of

All good. I commented in the first place with praise for Neera, I agree with you about her mind btw, so I’ll manage.

Rip me lefties found this post.

I wasn’t familiar with Neera in combative interviews. Between this one and the one with Medhi, I’m very impressed her ability to control the mic and extremely disappointed in Sam and Medhi for trying to shout her down in mid thought.
I agree that they should separate. And people should not try to debate Destiny’s positions to Pisco, especially on meta topics.
That said, I thought North did well until he got spun around. He has a clearer understanding of his own opinion than the last two debates.

He has moderated his community by cleaning up his discord and telling his chat to chill at times.
For me, the problem is that the behavior of attempting to farm clips, intentionally or jokingly, has turned himself into a useful tool for bad actors to attack other people near D.

He agreed with you.
You also gotta let these people get reps in debates. But the doxxing environment and telling people to not debate makes that impossible.

Harris is clearly talking about strengthening GLOBAL relationships and part of that is holding each other accountable. This is just another way of saying rules based international order.
Nothing about isolationism

Correct. Harris and Biden were never on good terms and contentious at times. Both believed Israel has the right to defend itself. However the issue was Biden was trying to get the hostages returned and Bibi was stringing them along until Trump won. Her criticism is only for Bibi
But she isn’t backing away from Israel being able to protect itself in the prior portion of the speech. Which all that together is her consistent stance on the matter.
Replying to @tatertotsconor @shesrightshow
I can see that interpretation. However I don’t think that is incongruent with your original impression. She is signaling more to wanting to protect innocent civilians and more heat towards Bibi. I wish she was more specific on the actions of the previous admin.
Replying to @tatertotsconor @shesrightshow
I share the same impression. Could you elaborate on how her recent speech altered that perception?
Replying to @tatertotsconor @shesrightshow
What was your impression?
I’m curious
