Good backs don’t fix bad run blocking OLs. Bad backs are made good by good run blocking OLs. Great backs make good run blocking OLs look great. Welcome to the paradox of evaluating the running back position. A highly dependent position that needs a solid baseline to function.

Amy Acton was raped by her stepfather when she was 12. As a former prosecutor of child sexual abuse, I saw this pattern too frequently: a child victim discloses the abuse by a stepdad or mom’s boyfriend, and mom takes the abuser’s side because she can’t bear to think that she had exposed her own child to a monster. Mom is protecting mom—not the child. Every DA will tell you the same—it’s a painful pattern. It’s the most infuriating thing to hear a mother accuse a child of lying despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I’ve had jury members plead with me after trial to arrest the mother for aiding and abetting. Vivek Ramaswamy has embraced the Trumpian role of taking the side of the predator—and despicably rolled out Amy’s estranged mother to denounce Amy. The brother of @amyactonoh confirms Amy’s account. The child protection authorities did the same—and took custody of both of them away from Acton’s mother. This is disgusting politics. Vivek, you may not be better than this, but the American people are.

I've also done some deep diving into the streaming community and men like Piker absolutely try to destroy the lives and health of women-who-stream in wide-spread, systematic ways. I can't believe what I've seen happen to young women at the hands of these men.

However, these two “pundits” are millionaires who also mocked anyone who opposed Graham Platner. They are beholden to an extremist base in order to continue to grow their careers. And by the way, calling me an “obsessed” and “nuts” “girl” is exactly what the NRA and its base did for a decade.

This is the dumbest analysis imaginable. Democrats lost because they re-nominated an 82 yo unpopular incumbent and when he had a health event on stage they replaced him w the unpopular VP they clearly had no confidence in. Voters didn’t like that she was a CA progressive, so she tried to shake that off by running a completely different campaign, but refused to distance herself from her unpopular boss. This left voters without a clear sense of who she was. She made a lousy VP pick that added almost nothing to the campaign. This is why she lost. Her ONE DAY with Liz Cheney is not. I didn’t consult for her campaign or advise it in any way, only said yes to helping when asked to moderate an event, because I desperately wanted her to win. Part of the reasons Dems struggle is they are unwilling to look facts about voters square in the face and love to pretend the world is different than it is. But you can’t win going forward if you can’t be honest about why your candidate lost. And if you’re looking to blame people for Trump winning, look no further than all the folks who couldn’t be bothered to vote for Kamala because she wasn’t pure enough for them.
Tim Walz says the Harris campaign chased the wrong voters — Dick Cheney Republicans: (Lever) “It’s pretty hard to deny that one of our base was fractured — the American Jewish community and the Muslim community, over Gaza and the intolerable assault. In retrospect, we should have spent time there — not courting a nebulous group of Wyoming Republicans who weren’t going to vote for us.” He is arguing the Cheney swing was a dead end — and the split over Gaza was the real problem. The rest of the postmortem is just as blunt. Harris never broke from Biden — the DNC autopsy said the White House never positioned her to run her own race. Walz’s early “they’re weird” line got benched for a big tent with Cheney, Bernie, and Taylor Swift. And the party’s own report skipped Gaza and Biden’s age — the two fights that actually split the ticket.Did they lose the base trying to rent Liz Cheney’s? xitter.cf/LeverNews/status/21080…

For years the left has been poisoned by antifans who by this point don't even vote against fascism, don't even like helping people with programs like USAID, don't care about the rollback of rights and safety for minorities, and have the audacity to gatekeep those that do. Enough.

Long thread here: No one is saying Hasan is THE MOST IMPORTANT issue, rather that some people care and it’s good for Dems to disavow Hasan and move on completely neutralizing Republican attacks. On the contrary yall are saying nobody gives a fuck so let’s look at the evidence…
Replying to @carrtmannn
Where am I demanding "impossible empirical evidence?" How about some polls asking people the relative importance of Hasan? Is that too much to ask? Is this a concession that you have no empirical data for your hypothesis, given you state that it's "exceedingly rare" to have it?

Obviously yes. As always he confidently shadowboxes a strawman instead of engaging. "Piker represents the Democrats" and "Piker doesn't and shouldn't represent the Democrats" are, in fact, opposing messages spread by opposing sides for opposing ends. But he treats it all as repeating the same message because we stand on the same objective measurable premise that he is deeply unpopular to critical voters exposed to who he is. Meanwhile the radical right - red left actual synchronicity that "Piker does and should represent the Democrats" gets, from him, a pass. Leftists only differ from the rest of society by claiming that's a good or helpful thing which is, objectively, untrue. And no amount of us playing along, lying, passively or actively defending a man from his own earned negative reputation, would change that reality. That would actually validate the Republican attacks that we, as liberal Democrats and the typical left, are aligned with spoiled rich misogynistic terrorist supporters, excuse that behavior, and see that as protecting "our team". Which would, understandably, turn off moderate independent voters from voting Blue in pivotal swing elections. We need to buck that stereotype and earnestly be respectful, normal, common-sense neighbors who want you to afford your groceries and a tank of gas. Nothing to worry about, not because we're lying or hiding, but because that's just who we are. Trustworthy, real good. Attacks always exist but there's a huge impact difference if they're legitimate and substantiated or not. It wasn't virtuous to do for Platner, which these types also did, and it isn't virtuous to do now. Disavow actual bad behavior and openly BE morally worthy on the merits. It's good to acknowledge terrorism is bad and to simply say we're not with weirdos who say otherwise. Decouple that bad thing from Democrats. You can win a lot of people over if you clearly support Democrats but not terrorism, LGBT people but not pedophiles, and immigrants but not crime. Anyone making you bite those bullets is an op. Defending those groups on association is actually repeating radical republican attacks.

Border security has been an issue for Alaskan’s for decades. It has to do more with drugs than Russia. We are in constant communications with Russia in order to trade for ice breakers. On top the Al-Can is the only highway in and out of the state so commerce is apart on it.

Russia is on Alaska’s border lil gup, they’re kinda important.

I can't speak for the past, nor can I speak for what happens in spaces I'm largely inexperienced with (gaming; streaming). I can, however, speak to the present and my own experience. Destiny's largely-male community has treated me with more respect--"as a woman"--than I have received from men in numerous social spheres--both online and in real life. They engage with me as an intellectual equal. They don't mansplain. They ask me questions. When I go on the streams, they let me talk so much I leave feeling I talked TOO much. Not because they make me feel that way, but because I'm given more space to express myself than I'm typically given in male interactions, whether it's a date or an academic seminar. Furthermore, they have DEFENDED me from *actual* misogynistic bullying. Not all liberal men have. For example, one of the most commonly used smears against me--by Piker's community--is that I am "mentally ill" (this is used against others as well). A few liberal men in my circles have fallen prey to letting this characterization slip into their thinking. They treat me--sometimes in subtle ways--as if I am hyper-reactive or even delusional. Destiny's community, on the other hand, not only defends me, but tackles the "mentally ill" mischaracterization on a deeper level. They recognize the misogyny for what it is, as well as how it operates. Meanwhile, Hasan's community doxxes women. They attempt to harass us into despair, public humiliation, and silence. They attempt to undermine our minds to our friends and audiences. They put us on lists inciting violence, including sexual violence. Note, also, this is a tactic. Destiny's community stands up against misogyny. Quite strongly. So what do you do? You call Destiny a misogynist, undermining the movement and providing protection for a man (Piker) who encourages the targeted harassment of liberal women who criticize him. Resist the PsychOps.
1. I’m not running for office, and I don’t engage in misogynistic attacks in relation to any political stuff I do. I was more misogynistic in the past, as a gamer for sure, but nothing compared to people like Hasan saying it’s better for wealthier white women to get raped than poorer ones. 2. It was only one rifle, the other was a Benelli M4.

This is something I really want people to sit with: the same political commentariat that saddled us w/ Platner are also responsible for dragging Piker into prominence. The GOP's strat for the midterms was to dump Oppo on Platner in September while tying the entire Democratic party to him. The plan was to let everyone treat Platner like a rising star in the party. To let Dems campaign for him. THEN expose him as a serial abuser of women. The GOP lost that opportunity when Platner was exposed, something a lot of people worked tirelessly to achieve. But the GOP got a different September gift instead: Piker. Now they get to tie the party to *that* jackass. It's the same deal. People try to find a Male Savior of Democrats, often counting clear toxicity as a "plus." Republicans sit back and wait for the right moment to strike. Luckily, it's not working *that* well with Piker because 1) most Dems have disavowed him and 2) The GOP is in an incredibly weak position. But, still, Piker is a liability & we wouldn't be going through any of this if it weren't for the political commentariat foisting it upon us. We already have *organically great* Democratic men. They're campaigning in places like Georgia, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Yeah hes a gift to the GOP. He is working hand in hand with them to undermine the Democratic party. IF the GOP has ANY chance of blunting the BLUE WAVE in November, it is via this strat.

This is racist, anti-empirical BS that is absolutely intended to undermine the base of the Democratic party. The Dem party would be obsolete if it weren't for Black voters in general. Almost every negative force on the political internet has the motive of dividing Democrats. Black Democrats are actually one of the larger *uniting* forces within the party, so of course they're being derided by those who wish to divide us. Black Democrats also make white Democrats braver. We all know this is true. When Black Democrats start to speak up about an issue, everyone starts to speak up. Relatedly, as a group, Black Democrats have led the way on calling out PsychOps, as well as antisemitism. They also, on the group level, stand up for all Democratic women who face misogyny. Again: a uniting force. A force in service of truth. Misinfo on the internet--as well as bullying--would be essentially uncontrolled if it weren't for the work of Black Democrats. That is, again, why they're being attacked by these posers.

A lot of people like to discard Alaska polls saying they are biased to democrats, but my counter to that would be look at the house polls. All the polls with Peltola winning also have Begich doing extremely well. She isn’t leading because of a dem bias in the polls
Data For Progress poll | 7/28-8/4 LV US House 2026 | Alaska at-large 🟥Nick Begich 47% (incumbent) ⬜️Bill Hill 37% I would rank neither 12% Not sure 4%

People will tell themselves anything. Fuck these snap count narrative. Walker was their RB1. He was rested during blow outs. And outperformed Charbs in 11/16. He was literally their starting and early down RB. Woolen was their primary and best boundary corner.
Replying to @new_era72
Where did they lose 3 starters? K9 was RB2, Riq was backup to Jobe and Witherspoon. Coby was the only starter and Okada filled in without missing a beat and that made Coby expendable.

Seattle can afford to match the Bobo offer of 3.5m. To use recent rhetoric, think of it as paying Bobo 1.75m for his time as a WR and the other 1.75m for his time as a ST ace. Pretty simple. Seattle currently has 34m in effective cap space. The draft class will cost 12-16m
