Putin receives distorted information about the real problems on the front line. This information is subjected to strict filtering by his small circle of close associates, who downplay or remove bad news while emphasizing successes. This is driven both by fear of reprisals and by personal interests. As a result, Putin has long been living in his own isolated reality, one that has little to do with objective reality. Consequently, Putin is deeply convinced of the core narratives of Russian propaganda: "Ukraine is an artificial and inferior state." "Absolute belief in a Western conspiracy." "The illusion of imminent victory." Putin tends to vastly overestimate the Russian army’s territorial gains and is convinced that victory is just around the corner. He makes strategic decisions without pragmatism, operating under a severe lack of objective information and trapped within his own hierarchical system. This makes his actions predictable in their drive toward escalation, while leaving them profoundly disconnected from the reality on the ground. All of this makes peace negotiations extremely difficult.

Right now, difficult negotiations are underway in pursuit of a lasting peace, which is needed not only by Ukraine. At this difficult moment, it is essential that all sides take a measured approach, including by realistically assessing the situation and communicating truthful information. The objective fact is that Dobropillia remains under Ukrainian control, so there can be no talk of Russian forces having “captured” this Ukrainian city. At the same time, the commander of Russia’s Group of Forces "Center," Colonel General Andrey Ivanayev, is deliberately misinforming the Russian president, intimidating his own subordinates and setting them impossible tasks, demanding that they demonstrate the capture of the Ukrainian city of Dobropillia at any cost, because Ivanayev himself has already reported that it has been captured. Ukraine’s Defense Forces are holding their positions to protect our state’s interests and our land. No false statements will change reality.

The only redeeming feature here is that we have this on video so everyone can see this for what it is.
Steve Witkoff to Vladimir Putin, the man who unleashed the biggest war in Europe since 1945: “You talk so much about my president, President Trump, being the humanitarian. You are, you are humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that. I commend you”.

“The data is all there about what has caused diesel prices to spike.” Is Ukraine being unfairly blamed for an energy crisis? @WarintheFuture points @AaronBMacLean to the U.S. government’s own diesel-price data on School of War. See the EIA data: eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_gnd…

In just 10 days, the Trump administration has: - Struck a deal to buy Russian diesel and eased sanctions. - Suspended the bipartisan Graham-Blumenthal Russia sanctions law, just weeks after signing it. - Restricted Ukraine's access to Starshield satellite services. - Suspended intelligence warnings about Russian missile launches targeting Ukraine for several days. - Threatened to cut intelligence sharing unless Ukraine stopped striking Russian oil infrastructure. - Pressured Ukraine to remove Zelenskyy from power. - Downplayed Russia's and China's assistance to Iran in its war against the US, dismissing it as "very little." - Proposed unfreezing Russian sovereign assets and placing some under US control. - Pursued lucrative US-Russia business deals, including cooperation on data centres. - Proposed that Europe resume buying Russian gas as part of a Ukraine peace deal If Trump were actually a Russian agent, what exactly would he be doing differently?

Yes, our president is a russian puppet who is trying to dismantle NATO. We know. You know why Trump is president? Because russians absolutely flooded us with disinformation until the average American voted against his own interests. The FSB weaponized our stupid people against us. It happened to us, just like it happened to Hungary, the UK during Brexit, and soon France. The russians can do this to your country, too. They can exploit this vulnerability anywhere there’s a democracy and a surplus of morons (hint: you probably live in such a place). So, my question is, why demonize all Americans, even those who support Ukraine, because of what Trump is doing? Knowing that Putin and Trump are trying to divide NATO, why are certain NAFO fellas helping drive that wedge between America and Europe? Why are you doing Putin’s work? Anti-MAGA Americans are fighting creeping autocracy: with the courts, with protests (that are being censored on social media, BTW), and politically. We’re doing way more than you realize, and we’re putting ourselves in danger to do it. We are also voting on November 3. We could use a little encouragement instead of blame. Thanks.

Russia’s war has inflicted profound psychological trauma on the Ukrainian people. Addressing PTSD and the broader mental health consequences of war is one of Ukraine’s most urgent priorities today — and will remain so for years to come. I was pleased to join a meeting of a new cohort of Ukrainian mental health professionals with Australia’s Assistant Foreign Minister, @MThistlethwaite The group is undertaking a three-month fellowship in Australia, generously supported by @dfat and hosted by @STARTTSNSW and Sydney Local Health District (kudos to Dr Tanya Dus)  I expressed my deep gratitude to the Australian Government for supporting this Australian Awards Fellowship. Once this cohort completes the program, 22 Ukrainian psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers will have benefited from this initiative, strengthening Ukraine’s capacity to support people affected by the trauma of war. This is an investment not only in professional expertise, but also in the resilience and recovery of Ukrainian society. Thank you, Australia, for standing with Ukraine.

The Daily Mail has published an article by Boris Johnson entitled ‘Putin has a plan for Ukraine – a hideous and genocidal one. We’re all disgusted at Trump’s betrayal, but what is Europe’s plan to end this terrible war?’. And it very accurately raises the question not only of yet another blow dealt by the Trump administration to Ukraine, but also of the fact that Europe has still not formulated its own plan to end the war. This is a very telling article, given that Johnson once supported Trump and sincerely believed that he would be on the side of good. Johnson begins with the story of Starshield. According to him, during yet another Russian attack, Ukrainian interceptor drones suddenly lost the ability to function properly due to restrictions imposed on the military version of Starlink. The decision to impose these technical restrictions was taken in the US without warning Ukraine. “The Ukrainians had indeed been betrayed. It was the White House that had ordered a technical change to the operation of the Starshield system, a military version of Elon Musk’s Starlink, so that the interceptor drones became suddenly useless.” “We feel a sense of dizziness, as though the team captain of the free world has suddenly been caught playing for the other side.” The US effectively interfered with Ukraine’s defence efforts at a time when Russia was continuing to strike at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. “Someone acting in the service of the President of the USA decided wilfully to sabotage the defences of a free, democratic and blameless people.” Johnson links the reason to the diesel controversy. The US started a war with Iran, the Strait of Hormuz was blocked, oil prices soared, and the Trump administration decided to shift the blame onto Ukraine for the strikes on Russian oil refineries. “So his brilliant diversionary strategy is to find a new culprit for the diesel price spike. He blames the Ukrainians, for attacking Putin’s oil refineries. Which is utterly ridiculous.” Johnson points out that the Ukrainian campaign against Russian oil refining has been successful and has indeed made it more difficult for Russia to export fuel. However, the sharp rise in global prices was caused not by Ukrainian strikes, but by the US war with Iran. “It wasn’t Zelenskyy whose rash and ill-thought-out military action led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.” On the contrary, Ukraine is doing exactly what the West has been demanding for the past four years: cutting into Russia’s energy revenues and striking at one of the main sources of funding for the war. Separately, Johnson refers to the Lindsey Graham Sanctions Act, which grants Trump vast powers to put pressure on buyers of Russian energy resources. “If he were actually to use this Bill as intended, and cut off Putin’s main source of income, then he could help to bring the Russian tyrant swiftly to the table and get the war over.” But Trump has done the opposite: “So as things stand, the US government is not only willing to sabotage Ukraine’s defences, it is actually proposing to fund the Russian bombs.” “Why it is that this US President is so bewilderingly weak towards Putin” Johnson mentions possible compromising information and potential future business deals between Trump’s inner circle and Russia, but admits he has no answer. For him, something else is more important: Ukraine is critically dependent on American communications, intelligence and technology, and therefore Europe must urgently compensate for the risks created by Washington. But the main problem is not Trump, but Europe itself. According to Johnson’s conclusion, the West has still not done enough to put pressure on Putin: Russian assets have not been confiscated, Russian gas continues to be purchased, and, most importantly, the US, the UK, France and Germany have still not defined what the end of the war should look like. “We haven’t done enough to put pressure on Putin; we haven’t unfrozen his assets; Europeans still buy large quantities of Russian gas.” “Neither side of the Atlantic – no one in Washington, London, Paris or Berlin – has been remotely clear enough about the terms on which Ukraine needs to finish the war.” “The Ukrainians have fought heroically and they are winning. Putin’s losses are unsustainable – 50,000 last month. He cannot recruit replacements fast enough.” But Putin, according to Johnson, will continue the war until he receives an absolutely unequivocal signal from the West that the subjugation of Ukraine is impossible. “Ukraine must and will be free, and that Ukrainian freedom will be guaranteed within the western security architecture, and that means NATO.” Johnson poses a very simple question: “Putin hasn’t heard that message, or not for years – not even from this country. Why not? What are we afraid of?” His proposal is also simple: to transfer Russia’s frozen assets to Ukraine, to provide all the necessary technology, and to finally define Ukraine’s place within the Western security system. “The greatest thing we can give – the thing that will actually bring peace – is clarity about their future.” “I can understand the hysteria and disgust about the Trump-Putin deal. But disgust is not a plan.” “Putin has a plan for Ukraine, a hideous and genocidal plan. What is the western plan?”

🚨 EXTREMELY IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ AND SHARE THIS. Something extremely important is happening right now on the world stage, and I don’t believe nearly enough people understand just how big this story really is. Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are pushing European leaders to release billions in frozen Russian assets and place them under American financial control. But my friends, this is about much more than frozen Russian money. Much more than Ukraine. And much more than what is being reported in the headlines. We are talking about Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, American investors, oil and gas pipelines, and people inside Donald Trump’s closest circle. I have been warning about these connections since Trump returned to the White House. And what my sources are telling me is that this did not happen overnight. I put together a detailed investigation and a chart connecting the people, the money, the reported deals, and the timeline so you can see for yourself how these relationships intersect. We are witnessing the early stages of something much bigger: a potential effort to bring Russia back into the global financial system, with billions of dollars at stake. And what I am hearing suggests there is much more to come. I’m asking every one of you to take a few minutes to read this investigation, study the chart, and SPREAD IT FAR AND WIDE. Restack it. Share it. Send it to your friends and family. Help get this information outside our echo chambers. Because understanding what is happening behind closed doors is essential to holding those in power accountable. 👇 READ THE FULL INVESTIGATION AND STUDY THE CHART BELOW. levremembers.substack.com/p/… The truth matters.
