One rewritten page. 15x more organic clicks in 28 days. We didn't touch the design, the backlinks, or the budget. Here's what actually happened: A client's donor-resource page was ranking, technically, but not converting attention into clicks. It was written for a database, not for a reader, or for an AI engine deciding what to cite. We rebuilt the page around one specific question searchers were actually asking, structured it so the answer sat in the first two sentences, and cleaned up the supporting content. → Clicks up more than 15x on that single page year over year. → The page became a Google featured "People Also Asked" answer for the target query → Zero changes to site structure, budget, or backlink profile The lesson isn't "write better content." It's that one page, rebuilt for how people and AI actually ask questions, can outperform months of broader SEO work. Have you seen something similar with your page rewrites? The best AI workflow idea I heard this month came from Twitch chat. Grace on our team built a Slack follow-up tracker for our account managers. The problem is familiar to anyone juggling 8 client channels: you ask a question in a thread, nobody answers, and it quietly dies. The obvious build is "let AI decide which threads need a follow-up." She tried that and rejected it. AI does not have enough account context to know if a thread is actually resolved, and for client work a wrong guess costs more than no guess. Then one night, working with a stream on in the background, she noticed how Twitch streamers use chat commands. Type "!" plus a keyword and an automated response fires. Simple, predictable, human-triggered. So the tracker uses three tags: !urgent: Claude checks the thread every workday and flags it if nobody replied, or if they replied but you never confirmed it was handled. !follow-up: same idea, lower stakes, checked every 5 days. !resolved: stop tracking it. Every morning the AM gets a digest plus pre-drafted nudges in Slack Drafts, each linked to the right thread. They send, tweak, or trash. About two minutes a day. The lesson I keep coming back to: the best version of an AI tool in 2026 is often the one that does less. Grace did not try to remove the human's judgment. She removed the part where a human has to hold 40 open threads in their head. Credit where due: this was entirely Grace's thinking. I just get to share it. What is the most unexpected place you have borrowed a workflow idea from? #AIWorkflows #AccountManagement #ClientService #Slack #DigitalMarketing

What an amazing week in Boston. #smx Advanced @smx, you really outdid yourself. 15 years in the industry, first time speaking at a national search conference, and I'm still buzzing from it. Getting to be part of the keynote was something I'll never forget. But the best part wasn't the stage. It was the people. • To everyone who organized this event, thank you for running something so seamless and so welcoming. • To the speakers I got to learn from and trade ideas with, you raised my game. • And to everyone whom I spoke with to share a thought, ask a question, or just say hello, those conversations meant more than you know. This industry is full of brilliant, generous people, which is why I love being part of it. Already looking forward to what's next.

Freaking travesty that Microsoft owns a browser and an OS and can't get usage to grow. Man this feels a lot like Bing. They just can't figure out how to take advantage of their entrenched real estate.
