FDNY needs to kill off the EMS 'no fail promotion to firefighter' exam.
NYC needs to fix the pay at FDNY EMS.
NYC needs to increase the amount of ambulances that are on the streets.
The @FDNYfc is an empty XXXL suit with a high school diploma, and should not be running FDNY.

@FDNY EMS response times to life-threatening emergencies have increased by 3 minutes and 50 seconds, a 41.2% increase from 2015, all the while life-threatening medical emergencies have surged 22%. This is a huge public safety risk that needs to be addressed with increased recruitment, retention and better pay.
Can someone help Peter out?

Sunday Scary’s: if you think you are the only one who has increased anxiety on Sunday evening you are not alone. It’s an interesting phenomenon, I’ve had it for decades and I explain to my medical students and graduate students and postdocs and residents many experience this. Now the @IHME_UW at the University of Washington has measured it and it’s off the charts mhstats.org/blog/global-anxi…

I understand that it could be Yersinia pestis the plague bacillus, but that’s still speculation, if it is it should be contained especially now with the availability of antibiotics. Historically the U.S. has had a whole cell inactivated plague vaccine but I don’t think we keep this in our national stockpile. This from my library on the 1910-11 pneumonic plague epidemic in China
