I finished 10th at Portland Regionals! I think Tina is BDIF, but it is very(!) hard to play effectively, quickly, etc. The deck functioned very erratically across the event, but it did well enough. Most of my ties would have concluded with 1-2 extra turns.

My favorite internet interaction this week. Posted winning locals. Did not win (lost last round). “I would have won if I set up, so I said I won.” Incredible stuff. This brought joy while I was sad about the US game.

This is a scam. Do not send this person money. Coaching is awesome and really valuable, and you don’t need to have a bunch of top cuts to be a good coach. BUT you do need some objective evidence to demonstrate that you have insight to share. Use your money in a better place.

Coaching is LIVE: Free for 15 min $50 for 30 min $80 for 1 hour (save $20 over 2x 30 min) $120 for 2 hours ($60 per hour) $300 for 6 hours ($50 per hour) My article/guide will be FREE for anyone who books with 30+ min w/ me. Thanks for feedback. metafy.gg/@neo7hinker/sessio…

Lost my first round at Worlds 2022, said “I got here, so happy with any result.” Proceeded to get 52nd after getting my 2nd ever day 2. Getting to send the text saying “I’m playing Pokemon tomorrow” brought so much joy.

Lots of discourse around Worlds today, to change it up a bit what's your favorite memory of either attending or watching a World Championships? In 2013 I attended my first one as a spectator (failed to make it through the LCQ) and watching the opening ceremony in person really motivated me to try and qualify, I wouldn't play in my first Worlds till 2016 but that was a big turning point for me seeing that opening ceremony
