Recently, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed regret and apologized to several African nations, including Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, and the Central African Republic, for the atrocities committed during the colonial era. However, it raises the question of when other former colonial powers, such as Britain, Belgium, Italy, and Portugal, will follow suit and acknowledge the violence and massacre they inflicted on African countries. Specifically, the British have caused severe harm, massacre, subjugation to the Somali population, surpassing any other community, resulting in long-lasting consequences that are still felt to this day.
