Proud to share collaborative work with LBR PhD student Victoria Ptasinski @AstraZeneca to induce aberrant epithelial cells recently discovered in single cell IPF data using human iPSC-derived lung alveolospheres. #drugdiscovery #diseasemodeling. @LuWcmm @Lund_Stem @Alsafadi_HN
Alveolar cells are injured in IPF. Ptasinski et al. have developed a model with alveolar organoids derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), in which they induced KRT17+ alveolar transitional cells by stimulation with a fibrosis cocktail. @DWagnerLab @AstraZeneca

LBR and @vinnovase postdoc @DaBolukbas presenting his work at #VTStemCell2021 on using hybrid hydrogels to regenerate lung tissue in patients with COPD/emphysema. #hybrid #precisionmanufacturing
Relaxing weekend read written by RESPIRE3 Fellow @sinem_tas86 about her project to "3D print lungs: hope to chronic lung disease patients." For the scientists out there attending @StemVt, you can talk to Sinem on Wed. at Poster Session 2 about her work. europeanlung.org/en/news-and…
Pedal to the metal! Doing final data visualization and analysis for @Alsafadi_HN talk at #VTStemCell2021. @JStegmayr traveling through 3D renderings of murine lung lobes in VR from light sheet fluorescence microscopy with @LBIC_Lund at the control panel. #lunggeeks #weareLBR
Have you ever wanted to make your own lung or organ on a chip? Check out the LBRs new pre-print with first author @sinem_tas86 which describes a new way to make a breathable lung on a chip using 3D printers and a commercially available nanofibrous membrane @Cellevate3D
3D printed lung on a chip device with a stretchable nanofibrous membrane for modeling ventilator induced lung injury biorxiv.org/cgi/content/shor… #bioRxiv
Thanks to @EuroRespSoc @EarlyCareerERS for supporting @sinem_tas86 as a RESPIRE3/Marie Curie Fellow and to @ERC_Research @KAWstiftelsen @LuWcmm for support. #opensource #scientificaccess
Great collaborative support across faculties at Lund from
@NanoLund @Lund_BioMech @1Hannis and Twente in the Netherlands @utwenteEN
The benefit of the virtual conference is that the data from @Alsafadi_HN and @JStegmayr can be seen up close on your own screen. We are looking forward to showing you the lung in new ways. #lightsheet #bigdata #patience @M2Lasers
Congratulations! Outstanding Abstract Achievement Award winners #VTStemCell2021:
Hani Alsafadi, Ben Calvert, Renata Jurkowska, Aina Martin-Medina +3 to present virtually. Still time to register: conta.cc/3xtyFKV
@RyanLabUSC @DWagnerLab @idisbaib @Alsafadi_HN @AinaMartin8
Looking forward to discussing with all of you!
Check out @3dprintindustry's #3DPrinting & #regenerativemedicine: opportunities and challenges webinar moderated by @HayleyEverett12. 3D Systems' VP, Regenerative Medicine Katie Weimer will be presenting with guests from @CELLINK3D and @lunduniversity. live.remo.co/e/3d-printing-a…

Can we initiate lung regeneration using an already approved drug? Read our paper just published @BrJPharmacol. Incredibly #thankful to @m_konigshoff and all co-authors. @dewagner77, @Mkg_Lehmann, @HadianKamyar, @AlionderCPC, @AliDoryab and @martina_des. bpspubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.…
Thanks for covering our work in your public outreach module! And a little history lesson on 3D printing and organ transplantation too :) #DreamBig @WCMMLU_school @NikaGvazava3
Article summary by the Research School trainees @DWagnerLab @LuWcmm youtu.be/2vc00mc5gD8 via @YouTube
Was great to work with @paolodecoppi and lab members to discuss exciting recent advances in bioengineering lung tissue and emerging opportunities.
New advances in bioengineering lung tissue open up opportunities for generating tissue in the laboratory for eventual transplantation and for modelling human lung development, disease and regeneration @martina_des @soichishibuya3 @paolodecoppi @DWagnerLab bit.ly/37lOHMn
Proud of the public outreach efforts of the WCMM Research School #3 and LBR members @NikaGvazava3 and @RehnbergEmil for bringing attention to mini organs in the lab for studying disease and potential therapies.
Trainees of the 3rd WCMM Research School explain the use of miniature organs in biomedical research. @lunduniversity @medfak_LU @LuWcmm youtu.be/T8gFZ0mjBEY
Thanks for covering our work!
