We know a one-size-fits-all approach to homelessness doesn't do enough to address specific needs. That’s why I led my colleagues on a letter to @ActSecTodman to call for policies that help unhoused women, including those with children and those experiencing gender-based violence.

This is such an important study. My gratitude for the women who participated, those that conducted the interviews, the researchers, our elected offices, my fellow Steering Committee members, and DWC for their leadership.
The 2022 LA County Women’s Needs Assessment is the largest ever study exclusively focused on the needs of homeless women.

The modular units behind me are part of the innovative solutions we need to speed up building and lower the cost of permanent supportive housing. There are more than 5,000 units already in the pipeline and more on the way. This is the urgency we need to confront this crisis.
