Shameful from @RhonddaBryant bowing to Republican mob rule. We see you, dangerous precedent set. Why should people abide by the law? Once again the Loyalist people of Northern Ireland are trampled on by the British government. Take note, never Labour.
This intervention is a very welcome development. This cannot go on indefinitely. Not only costing the public purse an inordinate amount which we can ill afford, but more importantly, the people of the Garvaghy Rd deserve & NEED to get back to normality
Interesting you should count Catalonia, Galicia and the Basque Country as separate from Spain. A fan of partitioning a country now are we?
France. Italy. Belgium. Sweden. Catalonia. Basque Country. Germany. Spain. Galicia.
MEPs from across Europe have signed a letter in support of the people of the Garvaghy Road, calling for any attempt to force an Orange march through the community to be stopped.
Support for the people of the Garvaghy Road is growing across Ireland and around the world.
Go raibh maith agat to Sinn Féin MEP Kathleen Funchion for helping to secure more solidarity for the people of the Garvaghy Road on the international stage.

The land of make-believe. Orangemen on parade midweek while schools are on? I always find in strange that people go to such lengths to fabricate stories for attention on social media.
Of all the voices speaking on Drumcree over the past week, I've been particularly impressed with the passion and delivery of @JBuckleyMLA who I have no doubt will be a key figure in Unionist politics for a very long time.
On this day in 1912, my Great, Great Grandfather and Great, Great Grandmother joined many thousands more in signing the Ulster Covenant & Women's Declaration. Both came from the village of Donemana and it fills me with pride. Ulster still says No.

The National Police Memorial Service is being held in Belfast today, paying tribute to those who paid the ultimate price for defending the rule of law.
At the same time nationalists in Northern Ireland are participating in an unlawful protest and blocking a road. Ministers are in breach of their pledge of office. That stands in stark contrast to the dignity and patience displayed by Portadown District who have a lawful determination that they should be allowed to walk along the Garvaghy Road.
The rule of law must be upheld however long that takes.
We all know what John Swinney is really focused on. It's not education, health or even the alarming rise in drug deaths. It's pretending to want Independence so people keep him and his party on the gravy train while he shifts the blame for their failings.

If it’s non-competitive, it should be nationalised.
The market works by having competition drive efficiency. But without competition, it only drives greed.
It’s time to nationalise utilities and make them state-run. 🇬🇧
1,133 families left grieving after another disastrous year of SNP failure.
Drug deaths up by 11%.
Over 2 times the rate of England.
How much longer can the SNP blame everyone else for a crisis they have presided over for nearly 20 years?
Lads, this didn't go well before. Sit this out.
🚨🇫🇰 NEW: President Milei says Argentina will “take matters into [their] own hands” to gain control of the Falkland Islands
[dubbed in English via @UN]
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The clip omits important context: In the full 23 Sep 2026 UN speech, Milei’s “take matters into our own hands” refers to sanctions on Sea Lion oil firms + a sovereignty bill amid UN inaction. He stressed a “peaceful, practical, and effective defense” and called for UK talks.

It's no wonder all they talk about is Independence given their horrendous record in government.
BREAKING: Drug deaths rise 11% as Scottish figures remain worst in Europe bbc.in/4dvoc90
This argument makes little sense. If that was the case, you'd be holding these every 5-10 years. Its not helpful for Scotland, it also suggests that regardless of the winning outcome, we should just continue to vote on it because thousands will have missed out.
Scottish Greens @Ross_Greer: "It is not good enough for the hundreds of thousands of younger Scots...who were not old enough to vote in the last referendum.
"They deserve their right to decide the future of this country."
What is going on in UK Politics. First in Wales, we have a defection from Reform to Plaid Cymru, now a former UUP councillor is running for the SDLP? Some really bizarre party changes.
A former UUP councillor has been selected as the SDLP's candidate for the next assembly election in May 2027. bbc.in/4iEwyyA
