The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles has denied Robert Roberson's clemency petition. The board voted 6-0 to not recommend commutation of his death sentence and 6-0 to not recommend a 180-day reprieve. Roberson is facing execution on Thursday.

BREAKING—We just received word that Arizona has executed Murray Hooper. According to an Arizona Department of Corrections spokesperson, he was officially pronounced dead at 10:34 a.m. Mountain Time.

Benjamin Cole has been executed. Time of death was 10:22. Cole is the sixth person to be executed by Oklahoma since the state resumed executions last year, and the fourth to be executed in 2022. Oklahoma has scheduled 3 more executions this year and 23 more before the end of 2024
