At Woolworths Plattekloof this afternoon. The generator failed during the 4,5hr #Loadshedding window today resulting in millions of Rands of food going to waste. Financial cost aside, the environmental and moral cost of food wastage is shocking. #stage6 #eskom

Salaries aren’t growing at the same rate as the cost of electricity, food and fuel in this country. High unemployment levels also mean that people are willing to work for less and stay longer in stagnant jobs. 💔
