A long post but lack of understanding of India’s ground realities. India has wealth, but much of it does not come from high-end businesses or genuine entrepreneurship. A significant wealth is generated through corruption, middlemen (dalals), and businesses that evade taxes.

Remember the names of every Tamil politician who has chosen to remain silent on this. Their silence speaks volumes—they are the real opportunists, putting political convenience and self-interest above principles.

Saudi Arabia: No relief for Sri Lankan migrant worker on death row in alleged blasphemy case over comment responding to Hindu deity’s insult; family cut off from contact On 17th September, Saudi prosecutors launched an appeal to prosecute Anojan according to Sharia Law rather than the nation’s cybercrime laws. opindia.com/news-updates/sau…

A stray dog had begun following Hindu pilgrims during the Kataragama Pada Yatra in Sri Lanka. Videos of the dog travelling with the pilgrims were widely shared and warmly received in Hindu circles. Then a video appeared showing a man kicking the dog. It triggered anger online and led to an argument on social media. During that argument, religious insults were exchanged. A Sri Lankan man named Sivarasa Anojan, who was working in Saudi Arabia, responded to a derogatory remark about Hinduism with a comment that was allegedly insulting to the Prophet. Later, he deleted his comment and recorded an apology, explaining that he had reacted after seeing an insult against his own religion. But someone had already taken a screenshot. According to his family, the screenshot was sent to his employer in Saudi Arabia. The employer reported the matter to the authorities. Sivarasa Anojan was arrested. He was initially sentenced to 5 years in prison and fined 3 million Saudi riyals. The prosecution appealed. The case was then reconsidered under Saudi Arabia's Sharia-based legal framework, and the punishment was increased to death. He is now facing a death sentence. He responded to an insult against his faith, deleted his comment, and apologized. Yet the person who first insulted Hinduism and made derogatory remarks faced no punishment, while Sivarasa Anojan ended up facing a death sentence. So, insult one religion, face no consequences. Speak up in response, pay with your life. Apparently, that’s justice.

Eerie parallels of current caste narratives in India with pre-1994 genocide Rwanda Education resources and school curricula were systematically used by the ruling regime to promote ethnic division, institutionalize discrimination, and lay groundwork for genocide ideology. 1/n

Did you know about Rwanda Genocide? -Rwanda schools before 1994 taught "Tutsis" were foreign invaders & "hutus" were moolnivasis. -They used used ethnic quotas (reservations). -They even forced kids forced kids to declare Hutu or Tutsi in class. This early division of children into "us versus them" made later hate easy to spread. & Later 8-10 lakh tutsis/moderate hutus were slaughtered by extremist hutus. Today, the same pattern appears in India through Aryan-invasion stories, "Brahmanical patriarchy" lessons, reservations that limit general category students & official caste labels. Classrooms and media keep repeating old grievances instead of shared values. The thread warns India is following a similar path👇 Must read.

Vishnu Tiwari was jailed at 23 and absolved at 43 of all charges for a crime he never committed under the ST/SC Act. On release he said, “I am not married. My body is broken and so is my family. Today, before leaving, I got Rs 600 from the jail administration. That is all I have.” He was not given parole for his mother’s last rites. In the ST/SC Act debate, @roypranesh is showing a mirror to society.

State rejects compensation to Vishnu Tiwari on 'Humanitarian grounds'. In a reply to National Human Rights Commission, the UP govt says spending 20 years in jail in a false case of the SC-ST act was not the case for Human rights violations.

Most of the stereotypes about India in Western countries are true. The reason you get defensive and try to push back is because you don't fit in those stereotypes and it infuriates you to be judged by the lowest common denominator. You push back because you confuse Bharat, the great ancient civilization, with modern India, the democratic socialist republic, and passionately fight for the sacred honor, philosophy, and heritage of the former, entirely ignoring the crude realities of the latter. You reject the humiliation of a collective reputation you did nothing to create, refusing to be grouped with the lawless, the uncivic, and the vulgar when your own values are entirely at odds with them. But you're part of the quiet minority. The harsh truth is that the rest of the country, the overwhelming majority, simply does not care. They are a hopeless, unreformable mass of selfish, ignorant, and shameless parasites who lack even the basic capacity for self-reflection. Operating on a primitive threshold for crime and corruption, they are far too pathetic and lazy to care about rules, progress, or the public good. They would eagerly wallow in filth, chaos, and shortcuts just to satisfy their immediate personal greed, leeching off the system while leaving the few civilized people like you to carry the dead weight of a demographic dividend that lacks the decency and dignity to ever grow up.
