Great! But you truly need an extremely substantial investment to make the Jolla AI environment quickly competitive with frontier assistant bots from the USA - at least a billion euros.
This is why people should demand that the @EU_Commission and @vonderLeyen declare an AI emergency status across the EU and transfer such funds to your company, as it is the only one in the EU advanced enough regarding hardware (and software as well) - in the same way she acted during the COVID vaccine rollout.
Europe without its own advanced AI assistant is open to all kinds of threats and faces serious civilizational disadvantages at every level - from personal to industrial.
@JollaHQ is the only EU company capable of closing this gap within a reasonable timeframe.
It should be in the vital interest of the @EU_Commission to make the EU completely independent of American AI models as well as hardware. @JollaHQ can fulfill all these requirements with appropriate funding, shortening the development timeline for a significantly more advanced system to 1–3 years rather than 5–10, Europe does not have so much time left in this regard anymore.

Après un mois avec le nouveau Jolla sous Sailfish OS, le bilan est plutôt impressionnant.
Design réussi, écran OLED, bonne autonomie, double SIM + microSD, meilleures performances et une communauté qui continue de grandir.
Le gros point faible ? La caméra. En basse lumière, le délai avant la prise de vue peut être vraiment pénible.
Mais pour ceux qui cherchent une alternative à Google et Apple, avec davantage de contrôle et un véritable OS mobile Linux, Jolla mérite clairement qu’on s’y intéresse.

Jolla Phone deliveries have officially begun!
What started with a very ambitious goal in December has become a reality. It was an incredible milestone delivered by the Jolla Team with amazing support of our community ❤️ Last week, we handed over the first Jolla Phones to early backers at our launch event in Helsinki, and now we're moving into Batch #1 deliveries.
Here's what happens next:
Batch #1 (around 2,700 orders!) will start shipping in order of purchase. Please allow 2–3 weeks for all Batch #1 deliveries to get rolling.
Batch #2: we target to ship some early orders by the end of July but most shippings are expected in early to mid-August.
Batch #3 we target to start shipping by end of August.
For those who ordered the Snow White: due to a last-minute manufacturing issue, the Snow White TOHs will be shipped in backorder at no extra cost. Meanwhile, Snow White phone customers will receive The Orange with their phone and the Snow White in a follow-up shipment.
Thank you to everyone who's backed the project and supported us along the way. We're really excited to get a Jolla Phone into your hands and appreciate your patience as we work through every order.

Great sovereign news from France: the Interministerial Digital Directorate of France (DINUM) announced on 8 April 2026 that it will migrate workstations from Windows to Linux and require ministries to plan the removal of non-European digital dependencies by autumn 2026.

Yesterday we told you about Jolla appearing on Viiden Jälkeen by Finnish national TV channel MTV. Today they published the full story! 🎉
MTV wrote about digital sovereignty and whether a Finnish mobile operating system could be the European alternative (article in Finnish 🇫🇮). There are only four mobile operating systems in the world: two American, one Chinese — and Sailfish OS. The only truly European one.
