Normally I wouldn't take the time to get into this, but what the @nypost and @californiapost published here is utter fiction. And defamatory fake news does a disservice to everyone involved.

Here is the boring reality: On Monday, a test pack briefly caught fire in a controlled environment at one of our lab facilities in the Bay Area. This happened during advanced R&D testing on a next-gen battery pack for a future pipeline programānot our Midnight air taxi.
Our team quickly extinguished it with the help of local fire, root caused the issue, and were back at it the next day building and testing the future of aerospace technology.
If the media spent half as much energy covering American engineering breakthroughs as they do trying to manufacture panic weād be much better off as a country.
