It wasn’t a ‘mishap’. It was a deliberate ‘double strike’ mass killing of hospital workers, journalists, and other civilians.
Israel deeply regrets the tragic mishap that occurred today at the Nasser Hospital in Gaza.
Israel values the work of journalists, medical staff, and all civilians. The military authorities are conducting a thorough investigation.
Our war is with Hamas terrorists. Our just goals are defeating Hamas and bringing our hostages home.

She's eight.
🚨Eight-year-old Mira Mohammed was found asleep from exhaustion at the gate of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, clutching an empty pot in her hand, searching for something, anything, to eat because there is no food at home. Too tired to continue, she collapsed right there on the concrete, still hungry due to the Israeli total blockade on the Gaza Strip

Jessica: Do think one day people will look back and ask how America could let this this happen?
Me: A lot of people are already asking that today.

Mamdani won. The establishment is in panic.
Billionaires are raising money against him; Trump is ranting; Islamophobes are on the loose.
They know what we know: Candidates who stand boldly with the working class can win not only in NYC, but anywhere.
Let's stand with Zohran.

Special congrats to @USMobile and @khattkoo on reaching $100 million ARR - big milestone worthy of celebrating!
And nearly all of this happened before we became a super-carrier…

Entrepreneurs and their venture capitalists/boards have an unspoken rule: despite disagreements, everyone must work together to protect the company's value.
During a tough period with my previous board where bankruptcy loomed, It all came down to this one board meeting where they wanted to fire me and I disagreed with their plans. It was a stalemate.
I remember somewhat aggressively putting a printout of similar companies having gone under and told them "This is what going to happen to us if we go down this route"
Regardless, The fund's partner reminded me of the entrepreneur's duty. Regardless of my feelings, he emphasized it's essential to try and recover their investment as I was questioning, "What's in it for me?" and "Why should I do this?"
They were 100% right.
Although we were stuck in a deadlock, unable to resolve our differences to their credit they called 2 hours after the board meeting to say they'd step off the board, but they wanted me to sell the company.
We could have gone bankrupt as early as that weekend.
Their departure from the board eventually allowed me to buy them out in 24 months, giving them back their invested capital with a decent return.
The recent @OpenAI incident violated both written and unwritten rules, where the board caused the destruction of tens of billions in value, which is alarming.

This holds true for bringing up kids as well. Invest heavily in the first 10 yrs of their life. That investment will outweigh what you do after that period. This is also something my mom and wife emphasized on / both Montessori trained teachers
Imagine two 40-year periods:
1. You invest $1,000 per yr the first 10 yrs, but $0 the last 30 yrs.
2. You invest $0 the first 10 yrs, but invest $1,000 per yr the last 30 yrs.
All capital compounds at 8% annually for both.
Which one results in more $$ at year 40?
Scenario 1 ends with: $155,826
Scenario 2 ends with: $132,409
Despite only investing a total of $10k over 10 years in Scenario 1, that scenario handily outperforms Scenario 2 where you invested a total of $30k over 30 years. The outperformance occurs because the investment occurred early in Scenario 1 and the impact of compounding over time created more and more separation.
Traditionally this math is used to encourage young people to invest early and consistently in their retirement plan which is a great application. But, this applies well beyond investments and finance.
There are huge benefits to making early and consistent investments across many dimensions in life and then letting those incremental investments compound over many years creating true distinction and separation later on.
