Is NEXA the Next Kaspa?
Nexa has the potential to have a bigger marketcap than the whole crypto space together. Because it’s the original Satoshi vision.

A couple of weeks ago, we released Nexa Full Node 2.2.0.0, which includes major preparatory work for integrating the Tailstorm protocol.
If you already run a node, please update to the latest version if you haven't done so yet. If you don't run one yet, now is an ideal time to join the network.
Tailstorm will transform the traditional linear proof-of-work model into a modern hybrid by introducing subblocks between summary blocks.
In practice, subblocks will be mined every 3 seconds on average, in between the traditional summary blocks.
These subblocks form a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) that is held only in RAM, and every 40 subblocks are bundled into a summary block.
Summary blocks will continue to arrive every 2 minutes on average, while subblocks will confirm within about 3 seconds that your transaction is being mined.
By combining a traditional blockchain with a DAG, this hybrid model delivers fast confirmations, fair mining, and stronger decentralization, while preserving the core strengths of a blockchain.
To prepare for the upcoming hard fork, check the post below, then update your node or start running one and join the innovative Nexa network. 👇
📒 Stay with Consensus: Update to Nexa Full-Node 2.2.0.0
Nexa is moving forward with protocol advancements, and we advise everyone to update their node clients to the most recent version.
This version includes rolling checkpoints. Once a block sits 200 deep in the chain, the node marks it as settled. From that depth it is set in stone, and any reorganization past that point is rejected.
For exchanges and services the implication is concrete: after 200 confirmations, a transaction cannot be reversed.
This is also the final release before the upcoming hard-fork and Tailstorm protocol activation. It is important to stay with consensus and update your clients. 👇

Nexa is building what actually matters. The foundation for developers and builders that anyone can now use. It’s all stacking up.
📒 Build on Nexa: AI-Assisted Development with David Thibodeau
Today the Nexa team wants to introduce you to a couple of tools we have created for our community to assist you with building applications on Nexa.
We know that some of you may be experienced developers, while others may be brand new to building apps.
One of our tools is specifically designed to empower some of our less technical users and make this process easier for all of you, through the use of Nexa AI-Assisted Development tools and AI skills.
In this short guide David Thibodeau (@DPTib) will walk you through a quick setup process and explain the basics of AI skills and how to use them.
After this guide you will be ready to build a fully functional Nexa application just from a single prompt. Let's get started. 👇

💡 Why Nexa is Scalable
People often ask how Nexa can handle tens of thousands of transactions per second. Nexa is highly scalable because of the UTXO model and its parallelizable architecture.
In comparison to Ethereum, the difference is between UTXO and EVM. Both have flexible scripting systems, but the underlying design is very different.
Nexa uses the same UTXO model as Bitcoin. In this system there are no accounts like in EVM blockchains. Only coins, and coins can either be spent in full or not at all.
Because the changes to the global state are localized to the inputs of a transaction, the UTXO approach is highly scalable, because it is highly parallelizable.
Ethereum and EVM blockchains are very different because they use an account-based design where a transaction can read and write to any part of the global state.
This makes Ethereum more flexible, but this structure is not parallelizable like Bitcoin or Nexa, and this is where the foundation differs.
UTXO and EVM are two completely different blockchain architectures that serve two different purposes.
Nexa uses the UTXO model inherited from Bitcoin, and it is also a commodity: coins belong to their owners. On the other hand, Ether is a share in a decentralized company.
If you are curious and want to understand more technical details, it is well explained in Nexa's most recent article "Scaling By Circuit".

⚠️ BEEP BEEP!!! This is not a drill. Repeating. THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!
The final checkpoint means that the next release will transform nexacoin:native into the first directed acyclic graph (DAG) hybrid combined with the traditional blockchain model ACTIVATING THE TAILSTORM PROTOCOL!! 🚨
📒 Nexa Full-Node 2.2.0.0: The Final Checkpoint Before The Tailstorm
We are excited to present Nexa Full-Node 2.2.0.0, an important milestone and the final checkpoint before the upcoming hard-fork that brings the Tailstorm integration to mainnet.
This is a preparatory release that includes the new Tailstorm source code for the major protocol upgrade, and it prepares the network for the next release.
Everyone who runs a Nexa Full-Node, whether stand-alone, integrated with a service, or as a wallet back-end: please update your client to the latest version.
If you hold any assets on the full-node wallet, we always advise you to securely back up your wallet.dat file before installing an upgrade.

Another big month for Nexa. nexacoin:native
📒 Nexa Monthly Newsletter August 2026: Redesign of the Mining Puzzle
The team keeps delivering, and August brought us news of major upcoming network changes and new algorithms. NexaPoW 2.0 was introduced to the community, and Bitcoin Unlimited's President himself explained Nexa's architecture. The network is being prepared for the next big protocol upgrade with ongoing developments.
One of the biggest challenges for the protocol currently is building a node in silicon. Nexa is prototyping the first fully functional hardware node capable of validating digital signatures required to verify transactions. The chip is currently in development and being tested, adjusted, and improved on the go.
In other areas, ecosystem development is going as expected. Many projects are reaching their final development stages and moving into testing phases, where they'll be polished before release.
Find a webinar with Andrew Clifford where he explains Nexa's architecture in more detail, with all the other monthly development news below. 👇
