Current Sahara kinda sucks. Very plain and boring. The old one had some fun theming. NASCAR Cafe was kinda cool as well, went once

Still pretty good honestly. As long as you don’t take a job that you hate

Still should be moving countries that don’t cause issues to the top of the pile, as far as the order that they go through them IMO

I don’t disagree with visa things being handled better and more scrutinized, and I have no idea how acquiring visas to put on a show in the US works at all.
But I think there should be some priority/preference to people from our closest allies, and also to countries whose people cause few issues(few crimes committed, few people overstaying visas or doing things not allowed with their visa type).
I imagine Japan, one of the closest allies of the US, has very few US visa holders that cause issues.
Jaws didn’t have single rider wait times poster but regular standby was 55min. I got on in like less than 3 min
Thought I might right donkey Kong coaster. again, early afternoon, rainy morning tuesday.
Can’t see in the pics but holy shit the wait times in Nintendo World at USJ.
Single rider for Donkey Kong 190 min, regular standby 200(it was 180 at 2pm on Saturday).
Mario Kart 90 for single rider.
Not worth it for either of those rides
Damn, got to USJ at like 1pm today, the Biohazard (Resident Evil) haunted house was already done giving out “timed entry tickets” for the day. No standby line. Just a lottery to have a chance to get in later.
The zombie one is standby, decent, but kinda generic. I expect more houses based on IPs at Universal.
They only have the zombie one and Biohazard this year for haunted houses. As well as some upcharge horror experience which is already sold out for the whole season…
2 haunted houses and it’s hard to get into one of them. Pretty disappointed with #USJ Halloween horror nights #HHN15

I don’t know how many countries have that rule, but here in Japan technically as a foreigner, you must at all times be carrying either a passport or resident ID card here. If the police ask for your ID and you do not have it , you can face large fines.

Go to goodwill and look at the frames. Sometimes they have some pretty cool looking vintage ones for cheap

lol I didn’t even know Oxiclean is a thing here.
Pay me for the shipping and I can send one to you 😂

The trophy in the photo sitting on the car is cool. Is that a diecast of David Smiths ARCA West 05 car or what ? Pretty neat

The problem is wages are low in Japan. Even when you don’t consider the value of the dollar. If you consider the value of the dollar it’s crazy bad.
Minimum wage in Tokyo is 1280yen ($8.09 USD).
Unless you can earn US dollars remotely or can get a really good job, it’s rough.
That’s putting aside the visa issues. You can’t just buy a house here and get a visa.
There is a new digital nomad visa but that is fairly limited, and I believe is only for 6 months.

看板は180分って書いてた、
2時間くらい待ってた。
楽しいけど、あの乗り物は2分くらいで終わるよ。。。
そのためまた2時間待たない。。。😢

I can’t speak for Hokkaido, but there is hardly a real winter in Tokyo/Osaka.
As an American from a place that has minus 20 Celsius winters, drinking iced drinks in winter is completely normal. Tastes better having ice in it.

It’s true, still nice having an all you can drink plan though! Oh well, is what it is!

Drinks are one thing I really envy about the parks in the US.
They pretty much all have some kind of all you can drink soda plan.
Here in Japan that’s not a thing at all.
At USJ there was one restaurant that had self serve refillable drinks (while you are dining in) and it was pretty hot yesterday so I was gonna go in there and down a bunch.
They got rid of it.
There isn’t anywhere that doesn’t just serve 1 cup of soda. Have to buy another if you want more…
Sucks…
Probably better for my health… but I really go through some beverage usually…

I think Kings Dominion and Kings Island used to both have a lot of movie theming going on during the Paramount days.
Not so much anymore.
I never actually saw backdraft, I do know some of the soundtrack though. I need to watch that one

More parks should do a small museum. I think they are really cool

I wouldn’t have thought you like this type of ride

Until 2020 they had a Backdraft special effects show! It was really cool.
Until last year the Backdraft show building remained inactive, til they finally put in some lame Minions attraction…
I guess it’s more popular for the kids,
Would’ve preferred that they keep the one special effects show that they had. Gives it that movie theme park vibe more having that.
Oh well
