Coming from a silver spoon upbringing we are not surprised you fail to grasp the systemic institutional failure this represents. Those who have worn the flag and came from a ration pack spoon upbringing understand the importance of commissioned officers setting the example and not embarrassing the organization and nation by being seen like this by the public and by allies. CIC officers are in fact commissioned officers in the CAF. Regardless of their role everyone putting the flag on their shoulder carries the weight (pun intended) of those who came before and those who will come after to live up to the standards they set. Play the body positivity game for accountants and teachers all you like but those who chose to wear the flag have a responsibility to more than the buffet.
