Because Shallan's ethnicity does not perfectly exist in real life, Brandon said he will allow the possibility of her being played by a Caucasian actress.
Adolin, Renarin, etc., will remain Asian, with likely Japanese-American actors playing the parts according to Brandon.

Brandon's ideal adaptations for both 'TRESS OF THE EMERALD SEA' and 'YUMI AND THE NIGHTMARE PAINTER' would be animated features.
Though getting producers to agree to make these is far more difficult due to the lack of popularity/sales compared to Mistborn and Stormlight.

Brandon hopes that the second Cosmere film will be an adaptation of 'THE EMPEROR'S SOUL', allowing it to showcase the many flavors of the Cosmere.
He envisions the film having a prestige quality and would likely release it as an Apple TV+ streaming original.

Vin will likely be aged up in the 'MISTBORN' film so as not to make her relationship with Elend have an age gap like in the book.
Brandon stated the '90s were full of stories that had the "fairy tale 16-year-old girl" trope, and that he no longer wants to have that in his story.

As a reminder, per the news about the 8-10 episodes of 'THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE' series.
Some side characters and events that get major page time in the books won't get the same treatment in the show. The focus will be on Kaladin, Shallan, and Dalinar.
Same goes for 'MISTBORN'.

'THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE' series will adapt one book per season, according to Brandon.
Each season will be 8-10 episodes, depending on budget, with likely 1-hour-long episodes.
Brandon will write all of Kaladin's scenes and will leave Shallan and Dalinar to the other co-writer.

‘THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE’ will very likely have its Season Two scripts written and complete by the time Season One begins filming, according to Brandon.
He also confirmed that Season One will be fully written before filming. He told the producers that this is his requirement.

Due to the lack of a complete treatment that wasn't "reliable” and a full-season teleplay on Amazon’s ‘THE WHEEL OF TIME’, Brandon now has a personal requirement that all screenplays must be complete before filming.
‘MISTBORN’ and ‘STORMLIGHT’ will likely follow the same rule.

Brandon recently spoke to IGN about topics unrelated to Hollywood, but he briefly mentioned the 'MISTBORN' screenplay.
Not much was said that we don't already know:
The screenplay is still in revisions.
The Director hunt is next.
The film is still a few years away.

Allomancers!
It has now been 2 months since @THR announced the #Cosmere adaptations by @AppleTV!
Now two months in, Brandon has completed 42% of the #Mistborn screenplay and has referenced his use of the 'James Gunn Model,' meaning a lack of reshoots and a tight script.

OJO, porque parece que Blue Marble será la productora no solo de El archivo de las tormentas, sino también de Mistborn. Concretamente confirman que Mistborn será una "franquicia cinematográfica", sacando un poco de dudas sobre si saldrá en cines o no.

@BrandSanderson shared last month on the Cosmere subreddit that he doubts Hollywood will delay Stormlight 6.
Though he can't make absolute promises.
His writing plan is still aiming for Stormlight 6 to finish around 2030 with a 2031 release!
