🙏 We just want thank everyone who took part in our graduate conference "Translating Byzantium and Byzantium Translating" (2-3 June, 2023) and joined us from Armenia, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania and the US, as well as Vienna. 1/3.
We aimed at bringing together graduate students working with different language traditions (e.g., Armenian, Greek, Syriac) to learn from each other and gain a fuller picture of Byzantium and its neighbors. 2/3.
We organizers from CEU and UniVie all learned a great deal and tremendously enjoyed all the conversations we had! Thanks to @medstudCEU, @dshcs_univie and the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek studies @univienna! 3/3.
