Guys, it is a joke, there are no demos of #MetaVRGlasses for us attendees of #MetaConnect! Just a fluff marketing video and then you see the glasses in a box behind a glass. I spent a lot of money to come here and spent time in a line to see a... video???! This makes no sense.
I heard some press guys had a real preview...but all the others, nope. This is so unfair.
Anyway, these are the pics I have taken for you. This is the best I could do

Can we track the eyes in XR using the retina? The answer is yes, and Immersix is doing that, with huge advantages like the removal of calibration, more accuracy, and less power consumption.

For those of you who don’t know my story and how I got to become a VR developer here it is. So when Covid hit in 2020 I bought my kids the regular oculus quest and everybody was stuck at home on quarantine so all we did was play VR. I’ve always been a gamer my whole life so once I threw that thing on my face, I was immediately blown away by how magical it felt. That same magical feeling I got as a kid playing Nintendo for the first time that I haven’t felt in years I felt once I put that thing on my face and experienced true VR for the first time. Being in virtual reality seemed like a dream as a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s with the Nintendo and Sega Genesis and everything else. I was so blown away by how it felt but at the time most games felt like small experiences rather than full-fledged games. Either you stood still and would just shoot or it was a shooter on rails. Upset with the lack of good VR games I took it upon myself to learn how to develop games for VR myself! 🦾 I taught myself everything, even how to code. I wasn’t even a developer I was just a gamer who was blown away by VR that much that I decided to try and re-create one of my favorite childhood games (Mega Man) in VR and so the system critical series was born. I have learned a lot since part one up until now to be honest and the reason the last two games were lacking a lot of stuff was solely only because I just didn’t know how to do it. I didn’t know how to program an options menu with different options and all that I’m not a Dev I’m just a gamer but now I know how and I do consider myself a developer now! 🦾 Moral of the story follow your dreams regardless I had so many countless nights of no sleep up at three in the morning trying to figure out how to program something with no knowledge of even how to do it. I work a regular full time job and support a family and 2 kids and yet still I found time to work on this passion project. I love all my fans, and I appreciate each and every last one of you. I really hope that my work shines in System Critical 3! 🦾

10 years.
Bigscreen started in 2016 as an app on Steam for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Now, we've built two generations of our VR headset, and shipped 50,000+ orders to customers in 50+ countries.
Today also marks one year since Beyond 2 launched. In the first 10 days, Beyond 2 sold more units than Beyond 1 did in its first year of sales. Bigscreen is now profitable, with annual revenue growing 3X year over year for the past 4 years in a row. We've built a great business, product, and community, and we have an ambitious roadmap ahead of us.
Thanks to everyone who's been part of this journey. The people who tested the Beyond prototypes in 2021. The passionate customers who preordered the Beyond 1 and Beyond 2. There's a lot more to build, and we're just getting started.
I wrote a post reflecting on the past 10 years. You can read more here: xitter.cf/DShankar/status/208030…

XR for Everyone! This is a goal we aim for at every touch point. In this blog I share how we keep this in mind for our website, content, and even expo experiences. Hoping you check it out and it gets you thinking or talking about accessibility today.
Accessibility is not an after thought, it’s the foundation.
For Global Accessibility Awareness day, we’re highlighting how that mission extends beyond our games with our latest community blog featuring User Experience Research Lead, Jazmin 👇

ALT A colorful promotional graphic for an Owlchemy Labs accessibility feature article. The background shows a close-up keyboard with a large “ACCESSIBILITY” key and accessibility icon. On the left is a circular avatar portrait of Jazmin in VR style, wearing a futuristic headset and holding a colorful item. Large bold gradient text in the center reads “XR for Everyone:” with smaller white outlined text underneath reading “How Owlchemy Labs Extends Accessibility Beyond Our Games.” On the right is a smiling portrait of Jazmin, Owlchemy Labs’ Head of Accessibility, wearing a light blue blouse against a purple and pink graphic background.
