There's no way Sunderland's goal should have been disallowed, having seen it back... #SAFC

in global news a Russian bot farm was attacked and destroyed by Ukrainian forces, so anyone still calling you slurs on Twitter today is organic farm to table

One random concern I have, which may not even be linked Our performances after an international break are pretty poor. Even though results look okay: Championship GP 4 W 2 D 1 L 1 PL GP 5 W 2 D 1 L 2 4 wins in 9 if I have counted correctly, which doesn’t look ‘bad’ on paper and they came against Hull City 1-0 away, Milwall 1-0 at home, Wolves 2-0 at home and spurs 1-0 at home. If you cast back these performances were not great and majority against teams that were struggling in the league at the time. Games against sides that aren’t struggling in the league, we’re not winning after a break. We seem to be a bit lethargic and slow in play after the breaks as if we’re rusty with each other, I’m not sure if it’s fatigue (both teams will be fatigued), if it’s our scheduling / routine during these breaks or if it’s just a coincidence. Just thought it was something worth pointing out. #SAFC

On team selection, & this is for every fanbase not just ours… Prem managers arent sat in their bedrooms writing a team of their favourites on the back of a fag packet while their ma is making the tea downstairs Theres a huge team of performance analysts, fitness coaches, doctors, physiotherapists & mental health experts who work closely with the players on a daily basis advising the head coach How is a fan better placed after the event to pick the team? What do they know, that this team of professionals don’t? Does Deano from Downhill have all the GPS & heart rate figures? Is Jarra Jim from Humbledon Hill managing workload, muscle soreness & players mental states etc? Managers will always make mistakes but they’re better informed than anyone to make the decisions in real time & for fans like us, team selection is nowt more than a point of discussion and ultimately a meaningless debate based on our own bias opinion

We’ve played the current top 4 in our first 6, and have improved in metrics. The beating stick last year was over achieving xG, now we’re underperforming a fair bit Yesterday was a worrying performance, but come May I don’t think we’ll be in a battle

Enzo Le Fée lost his father to suicide in 2021. For World Mental Health Day, we asked the @SunderlandAFC midfielder to share some advice with his younger self...

Where would Man City be if they didn’t cheat? 🤷🏻‍♂️ We’ve taken the money pumped into the club by their owners, worked out which signings it funded each season and removed every Premier League goal those players scored. Here’s what the leagues would look like… A Thread 🧵👇🏼
