I’m a big fan of this. Obviously we need actions not words. But call it out. Raise the standards. Lead by example though

Exactly what I posted about ā€˜Decided to stay strong’ ā€˜Survived til half time’ ā€˜You never know with set plays’ We did know. It was hope we’d nick one rather than a a system that means we can still create chances on the break. We opted to try and nick a set piece goal #SAFC

Agreed, not because of their ability, but because the profiles we signed (or didn’t in RW case) has made us worse system wise #SAFC
Not signing Geertruida and Traore is looking more and more idiotic than it was when we first decided against it.

The Meunier signing pointed to a permanent move of Nordi to CB, I was fine with that, but we then needed a LCB upgrade on Omar, it’s why we targeted Muharemovic A lack of RW signing and another badly profiled CB signing has put Meunier on the wing, Mukiele at RB and now we’re incredibly short at CB. We have Dan and Danso who are box defenders and can’t really play with their feet, one left footed CB who’s struggling for form and fitness due to the World Cup. O’Nien is creeping up the pecking order for starting CB for me, which is mad to say, I love him a lot but we should be upgraded way past that now. Lots of blame on the summer as well as system for me #SAFC
It was obvious to anyone who watched us last season that if we were going to sign a centre-halve this summer, it had to be a younger left-footed centre-halve so that we could start easing Alderete out of the team. We signed an older & shitter Ballard instead. Maddening.

CBs miles off it Midfield was anonymous, not sure I saw a second ball won or pass intercepted all game And then no attack because regis chose not to make any forward subs despite losing the game We’ve had a similar theme this season in the league, something drastic has to change #SAFC
The CBs have been shocking The midfield haven’t won a second ball or cut a passing lane all day, how many times have they picked the ball up unmarked behind the midfield? No pace on the counter either so when we do break, because Bournemouth are giving us space, we can’t do it fast enough. I’d have ahoka on to cover midfield spaces and get pace out wide with either wing backs or wingers. So so poor #SAFC

Points to how every winger that joins the club on the left struggles due to their starting position being too deep and being left 2vs1 due to a defensive fullback playing behind them
Typically individual errors that consistently pop up are a product of a set up that doesn’t maximise the players and puts them into positions they aren’t entirely comfortable in

Despite not agreeing with the teamsheet, one of my biggest gripes today is that imo regis accepted the defeat after the red card Going down to 10 men doesn’t mean the games over, is it harder? Obviously. But go compact, get pace on the counter and attack the space they leave when they’re pushing people forward to pressure us We didn’t make any changes til the second half at 2-0 and then at that point it was damage limitation No attempt whatsoever to get a dangerous gameplan with 10 men, you didn’t have to sacrifice your defence, you just make a forward change for more pace, direct wingers, to get away quickly #SAFC

Let’s give cam some feedback on his work please ladies and gentlemen. These posts aren’t possible without him šŸ‘‡
I’ve gone for something a bit different with this design. Thoughts?

Sunderland vs Bournemouth predicted lineup Alderete, Brobbey and Rigg to come in Meunier, Hume and Isidor out. Feel the dynamic with Rigg and Nordi is one we’ve saw a lot of success with. Omar simply has to be back in for me, we need the left foot balance and the passing angles it creates. Ahoka is probably knocking on the door soon. Thoughts Sunderland fans? #SAFC

The shape change from Reg won the game second half. First half was slow and almost as you’d expect with a fully rotated side Unlucky for Methalie to come off, but rei was important for solidity in that shape change. Ahoka just looks an unbelievable midfield talent. Got much more to say but will let the emotions lie. Win is a win Ha’way the lads! #SAFC

Sunderland vs Torreense predicted lineup A few changes but ultimately a strong team. I expect / hope Xhaka and Nordi get a rest particularly, more so because this is a fixture I really want to see Ahoka play. So that’s Ahoka, Methalie, Alderete, Rigg and Fofana I feel should really be featuring in this game. There’s a world Diarra starts but I expect it to be ELF or Sadiki, with Diarra coming on around 60 minutes. Similar with Brobbey, he could start, with Wilson looking injured and Timur training with the firsts, he could start with Brobbey coming on if / when we need it. What do you think Sunderland fans? #SAFC

One random concern I have, which may not even be linked Our performances after an international break are pretty poor. Even though results look okay: Championship GP 4 W 2 D 1 L 1 PL GP 5 W 2 D 1 L 2 4 wins in 9 if I have counted correctly, which doesn’t look ā€˜bad’ on paper and they came against Hull City 1-0 away, Milwall 1-0 at home, Wolves 2-0 at home and spurs 1-0 at home. If you cast back these performances were not great and majority against teams that were struggling in the league at the time. Games against sides that aren’t struggling in the league, we’re not winning after a break. We seem to be a bit lethargic and slow in play after the breaks as if we’re rusty with each other, I’m not sure if it’s fatigue (both teams will be fatigued), if it’s our scheduling / routine during these breaks or if it’s just a coincidence. Just thought it was something worth pointing out. #SAFC

Team sheet was wrong from the start I called out my worry with the Danso signing and I really just don’t think he’s very good, can’t play with the ball and actually struggles with aerial duels Our winger options aren’t pulling trees up, but I still feel they look better on the left when Methalie plays. He overlaps and takes a man away to get them 1vs1 The build up play, if you can even call it that, is turgid. We move the ball with no urgency, there’s not many rotations off the ball and we hope for a gap. We’re overly reliant on brobbey in build up, you could see it second half when Mukiele kept looking for the ball into the strikers feet as if we had no other ideas of what to do We desperately need a run of results, I’d be interested to hear peoples takes. #SAFC
