The only book about Clive James *not* written by Clive himself. 'Works as a commentary on CJ's work, as biography & as a really good book about poetry'- David Quantick Read 30 pages free with Amazon Look Inside. Clive loved it: 'Now do one about my prose.' #ProfessorJohnCarey

So sad about Annie Nightingale. In Dec 1971, Pat and I were on Chiswick Bridge when we heard music so weird & wonderful that we pulled over, wheels on the verge, and listened, spellbound, to hear what it was. It was Life on Mars, and Annie was giving it its BBC debut.

I can't remember another musical epiphany like that, and I've been grateful to her ever since.

You know that old Nell Gwynn story? Her footman says: ‘I have been fighting, madam, with an impudent rascal who called your ladyship a whore.’ ‘At this rate,' says Nell, 'you must fight every day of your life. Why, you fool, all the world knows it.’ unitedghostwriters.co.uk/blo…

I think there also a more sinister game was being played on what information was given to the courts by the PO lawyers at each of the trials and these lawyers should be prosecuted for perverting the course of justice lawgazette.co.uk/news-focus/…

News focus: Post Office inquiry probes role played by lawyers

The Post Office Horizon Inquiry has begun poring over one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in British history - and the role played by in-house and external lawyers is under intense scrutiny.

Clive James fans: Sadly, both these books are about to go out of print. Author signed copies available now - So Brightly hardback £10 + postage, Loose Canon pbk £5 + postage. Email [email protected] Clive loved both, and Loose Canon has a terrific 6-page foreword by Stephen Fry

CONSPIRACY – Ian Shircore (N$210) Did COVID-19 actually break out to kill 6 million people because of a leak from a Chinese laboratory? We live in a world of fake news and false flags, secret plots and unexplained deaths. But what on earth can you believe?

From Bob Woodward's new audiobook, The Trump Tapes: "The record now shows that Trump has led - and continues to lead - a seditious conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election, which, in effect, is an effort to destroy democracy."

What do you really need when you're looking for a ghostwriter to help you get your book done? Specialist expertise sounds attractive. But it may be better to work with someone who knows nothing and will ask the questions your readers will want answered. unitedghostwriters.co.uk/bla…
