Our beaver wetland after weeks and weeks of hot, sunny, dry weather. It hasn’t rained since May. This place is now an oasis of sun-dappled pools and canals in a ribbon stretching about a mile along the valley. Beavers truly are nature’s magicians.

In this episode of Rewilding the World I speak with my friend Tony Juniper, Chair of Natural England, and a lifelong campaigner for nature recovery. As well as overseeing nature recovery on a scale this country has never previously seen, Tony wants the government to bring forward a new Nature Recovery Act. It’s a great idea! Listen today wherever you get your podcasts. @NaturalEngland

If you haven’t seen the latest Attenborough film ‘Ocean’ yet, you must. It’s a masterpiece. In the latest episode of Rewilding the World I speak with one of the key people behind it, @Enric_Sala, from National Geographic‘s Pristine Seas campaign, which has secured protection from industrial fishing for millions of square kilometres of seas around the world. Enric is a true hero. This episode is out now wherever you get your podcasts.

We have been enjoying a wonderful week in Romania seeing family. What is fabulous is wherever we go we are never far from the majestic White Storks. They are just part of everyday life here. Wouldn't it be fantastic if we can make that happen in the UK? Two examples.... (1 of 3)
