#Compass50 Today - Sat 21st Dec 1974 - #TheCompass opened its doors for the first time. Owen and Maureen brought their vision for a “Lounge Bar” to fruition
50 years on the pub is still going strong.

Altough there was a small pub behind Johnny Eoin Bhiddy’s shop from 1962. It wasn’t until 1974 that #TheCompass opened in its current form. Our #Compass50 party take place on Dec 21st

As we countdown to #Compass50, we have to acknowledge the man who started the original business on the site. Johnny Eoin Bhiddy began his shop over 100 years ago.
