Altough there was a small pub behind Johnny Eoin Bhiddy’s shop from 1962. It wasn’t until 1974 that #TheCompass opened in its current form. Our #Compass50 party take place on Dec 21st

Currane won the Corn Acla for the 2nd time in 1964. To celebrate its 60 year anniversary, a presentation is being made to all team members in The Compass on Sat June 1st.
Achill Juveniles won the county championship that year & a presentation will be made to that team also.
