We continued to be silent but at work. Here is Recurv! and our currency design self paced workshop. Discount code inside! happeningscommunity.substack… -thank you @OpenCivics for helping us!
Human systems, particularly our economies, have become blocked and distorted. We've created dead-end flows that terminate in landfills rather than cycling back into life. We've constructed artificial scarcity in a world of abundance. Reimagining this design is our work.
"Switching costs" are one of the great underappreciated evils in our world: the more it costs you to change from one product or service to another, the worse the vendor, provider, or service you're using today can treat you without risking your business.

ALT A painting of Moses parting the Red Sea, with taerrified and grateful Israelites around his feet and an onrushing army of charioteers in pursuit. Moses has been replaced with a vintage editorial cartoon depicting Uncle Sam as a stern cop holding out a billyclub, on his breast is the crest of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. The roiling Red Sea has been overlaid with a US $100 bill.

@zippy314 It seems that this is a perfect opening to the narrative of how engagement changes when not mediated by centralized platforms and how Moss can shift power dynamics in social spaces.

A reminder, we have a 7-episode review of human history, 'as seen through the eyes of the commons', in French. On Youtube 'live', we have reached the fifth episode, on the current 'commons transition moment'. In the podcast series, we have reached episode 4, on the post-war period.
The closest thing in English, though not organized by chronology but by major author and books, is the O.G Rose series on Youtube:
@PrenezP writes:

The narrative of sovereignty is strong. Tech is ready for true pioneers. Few are ready to pay their part of the cost. Entrepreneurs face the challenges of having to fundraise in a very crowded space. Users want all sexy and perfectly resolved before they adopt.
Have you witnessed the constraints the internets current infrastructure brings, have you thought about what @Holochain can offer you?
Do you know the magician of #Usurpia? He is a bit in all of us. 🙌

Friends! @artbrock & @fer_ananda offer a free session this Friday with a provocation "All problems are problems of flow" which leads to how "current-sees" not money are the symbol systems to shape social and economic dynamics. Bring a problem! Test them! bit.ly/summittworks
The longer I’m in #web3, specifically the public goods funding web3, the more I’m convinced that by programming our values into money we’ll be able to create a civilization that incentivizes flows of resources that maximize for human flourishing and ecological thriving.

If harmony is equal to healthy patterns of flow. Then shaping and enabling flows will create harmony. What is your take?
