I’d you’re shocked at the damage in France to an old town hall you’ll be horrified to hear what’s happened to the beautiful old buildings and heritage of the Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans

> "Christians should refuse to watch public executions because watching them is the same as killing." > "You can't be pro-life and support the killing of a person after they're born." This isn't Pope Leo or Pope Francis. This is literally a 2nd-century Church Father.
Pope Leo XIV

The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

Some recent homework! Unintentionally but most suitably inspired by one of my favorite mangas, Otoyomegatari :')

i also think sadly the heavy implication of her imposing the image of oliver park onto the cop she was killing is hinting that he mightve exploited her too...deeply sad abt gwen tho. knowing she is processing everything but isnt able to vocalise her own thoughts w/ her own words

its heavily hinted that shes a stand-in or related to olivia's mother...something that was meant to be a comforting figure for a little girl, who is later marketed for other girls still being abused and subjugated to the desires of adult men

there’s just something to be said about when olivia, as a child, would make gwen walk around without clothes, ripping and pulling her guts…? she’s taking it out on gwen from some kind of pain or ache. a child doesn’t retain this behavior unless they picked it up somewhere

// KOG SPOILERS this is just a theory, but the way olivia treats gwen reminds me of trauma response in young csa victims, especially girls, where they abuse their dolls/toys until it looks completely ‘ruined’

Replying to @polyralsei
I think there's a lot of similarities to rgu re: heroism/self fulfillment instead of actually helping the person who is trapped. Similarities with how it breaches discussing and dissecting fairytale/princess storytelling
