To my #SecretSantaNZ2022 thank you for sending the present I’m hoping it will still arrive at some point. Just a snippet of where it has been in Auckland
Thank you so much to my mid-winter secret santa! I absolutely love the presents (already drinking one of the teas). Please reach out if you and your daughter (lizards are the best!) come into the museum. Merry mid-winter Christmas all #MidWinterSecretSanta

Similar experience - trying to get a shot of a Lord Howe Island gecko and got dive bombed by a muttonbird (the bird freed itself from the branches shortly after).
Difficult handwriting query - please send through your best guesses for the locations of these molluscs. They should be in Aotearoa New Zealand.
I just did a dive into the database. We have 3 tuatara that are recorded as from captivity and Died in Museum. LH272 and LH286 died in 1937, LH262 died in 1942. All look like adults (the image is LH262 in a 2L jar) when I went and checked on them.
Thank you so much to my #SecretSantaNZ2021! Absolutely spoilt with gifts including an amazing fish towel that will be coming on all beach and field trips with me. Thanks team for organising a wonderful end to the year. Loving seeing all the posts today.

Great photo Kane - here’s a greenhood orchid from Rangitoto the weekend before lockdown.
